As much as a rollback is necessary, doing so at this point is only going to create even more backlash at Nexon. If they were going to rollback, they should have done it while the game was down. The longer the game stays online and nothing is done, the harder it will be for any of this to be even remotely fixable.

yes, I agree.

this is why this situation right now is so hard. putting together everything discussed in this thread so far, there really is no right way for nexon to handle this. we're talking about it here, but they're the ones who have to take everything into account and make those decisions. i think the big thing i'm trying to get across is, they have their work cut out for them and we should just give the game some space/time and not direct all the hate at nexon. they deserve some, but not this much.

i have to go to work now, so i won't be replying to anything in the next nine hours or so. i hope i don't come across as an pimento or a full nexon-supporter or high and mighty about the plight of game developers and people who keep games up and running. i'm just trying to spread some optimism around because right now i can really feel for the honest people who have to actually deal with this. it's fine to be angry at nexon because you don't feel like they're doing anything, but also i guess do try to understand that these people are going through hell right now. so yeah.

they're keeping the game up because they're still a business. some people are going to be so unaffected by this either because they're casual enough to not be touching the fm, or because they actively avoid it anyway. those people could still be spending money and having the game down means they can't spend money. that's pretty much why the game can't be down for longer than a day (and a half?). but they can still be working on fixes.

Yay for being a filthy casual who never uses the FM I guess... I haven't checked that none of my accounts are hellbanned cause even if they were, it wouldn't affect my day to day play.

Avoiding the FM like the plague generally means you don't get hellbanned, worked for me so far.

That isn't necessarily true.
I have a friend that left a few things up his shop until the Maintenance hit and he didn't get hellbanned, while I closed my shop about 20 minutes after the dupe went public and still got hellbanned. It literally makes no sense.

I had a mule account I literally only use for bingo red coins get hell banned.
It has never even set foot in the FM before. >_>
