# Thread: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

1. ## Maple Leaf High exp modelling

Hi guys, gathering data for someone to build a model of Maple Leaf High's exp rates for level 1-200. If you could please give me some data that would be much appreciated. I'm particularly looking for the exp you get when you complete the New Kid quest. If you've got some data to submit could you please post below with your level and also the exp you get from this quest. Particularly looking for 35+

Here's what we have so far, where Exp(%)=f(x), and x is the level.

Exp Rangef(x)
9-1917.995
19-30275000/10001-(5000/10001)x
30-4018.50266835-0.200101963x
40-9514.8881214-0.099992858x
95-10023.99907525-0.199991494x
100-11013.999746-0.099998257x
110-2004.649923-0.1499975x

There are two ranges of exception:
Exp RangeExp(%)
29-34130000/10001
69-747.499849688

The ranges of exception overrides the first table.

The best estimate we have for the 110+ rate is 10(32549/69999-(90/60001)x). Obviously the extrapolation isn't perfect, and it would be appreciated if someone were to find a more exact extrapolation.

The rooms are quite obviously 10%, 20%, 30%, ... to 110%. The final room gives no EXP.

9. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

I know that at level 141-143, I got 857,111 from all of the quests I turned in.

10. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

Just gonna dump all characters I care about exp on, doesn't hurt to duplicate results.
40 - 5399 (10.5%) * rounding down gets it exactly right
50 - 10547 (9.5%) *
73 - 35935 (7.5%) *
87 - 66969 (5.79988%) - 1 less exp than 5.8% accounts for, even rounding down
108 - 152988 (3.19995%)
109 - 158581 (3.09994%) - 3 less exp than 3.1% accounts for, even rounding down
110 - 164208 (2.99995%) - 3 less exp than 3% accounts for rounding down
121 - 285287 (2.83495%)
128 - 360103 (2.72996%)
175 - 5526882 (2.02497%)

I'm thinking it is -0.1% per level in 2nd/3rd job, except there are obviously some levels where it jumps around.

Level 174 : 5252663

12. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

Level 106: 141,977

13. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

I've cracked it for 110+

Level 110: 3%
Level 110+x: 3% - 0.015*x

So for example, 175, x=65 -> 3% - 0.015*65 = 2.025%

Below 110 it is not a single amount per level - there's no number that fits all the data.

From what I can gather though, 90~100 is the level range of interest.

Level 40: 10.5%
Level 40+y: 10.5% - 0.1%
this is valid for level 41~70, 75~87.
Between level 87 and 99 there's a 0.4% discrepancy, and between level 100 and 108 there's a 0.1% discrepancy.

Level 70~74 also appear to have a fixed 7.5% (which is correct for 70 itself)

 range % of exp tnl change per level 10~19 18 0 20~29 17.5 -0.5 30 13 0 37~39 11.1 -0.2 40~70 10.5 -0.1 71~74 7.5 0 75~94 7 -0.1 95~99 5 -0.2 100~109 4 -0.1 110~200 3 -0.015
% of exp tnl - the amount of exp needed at the first level in the range.

Obviously still has gaps in it. (31-36)

I don't know where to get a table of exp tnl for current maple, if I did I could check out the values other people have added (this is based only on mine and @SaptaZapta;'s)

EDIT: went to Basil, filled in some gaps. Aside from 31-36 it seems complete. (I would guess 31-34 are all 13%, same as 71-74 are equal to 70.)

This is what the % of a level looks like.

In 1 run you gain 6.6 times this plus 1 for every quest completion - if you're doing it once a day, probably 4 or so (less if you buy keys).

14. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

^ Comfirmed accurate for Lv. 157.
It's off by about 100 EXP, but that's probably due to some rounding fuctions.

15. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

32 bit floats have around 6 digit accuracy, it's quite likely the whole scheme is using floats. Normally Maple only uses whole-number percents, which means they can do *percent/100 in integer arithmetic, but these go to 3 decimal places.

16. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

It's possible the formula is for the exp, and the % relationship with exp tnl is coincidental. Well, not entirely coincidental since the RLH formula might be derived from the TNL formula (which is why they have plateaus at the same points), but you know what I mean.

17. ## Re: Maple Leaf High exp modelling

Here's what we have so far, where Exp(%)=f(x), and x is the level.

Exp Rangef(x)
9-1917.995
19-30275000/10001-(5000/10001)x
30-4018.50266835-0.200101963x
40-9514.8881214-0.099992858x
95-10023.99907525-0.199991494x
100-11013.999746-0.099998257x
110-2004.649923-0.1499975x

There are two ranges of exception:
Exp RangeExp(%)
29-34130000/10001
69-747.499849688

The ranges of exception overrides the first table.

There are a few more data points we need for confirmation. In the range of exception, we need someone to confirm that Lv. 34 gives 2487 exp and that Lv. 69 and 74 gives 35935 exp. We also need points from the range 1-9 (although it's essentially meaningless, it's necessary to be complete).

Finally, we're looking for the exact fractions Nexon typed into the program. Although this is a bit anal, the decimals look suspicious and it's unlikely that Nexon typed in such lengthy decimals. An exact fraction would be something similar to what's in the table for Lv. 19-30. It's made up of "easy" integers.

Thanks for everyone's input.

9000/60001 and 279000/60001 feel right for 110-200.

Does 5000/50001, 8000/40001, 3000/30001, 4000/20001 fit the other ranges closely enough? (in descending order, because...) Could you provide ranges of possible values on each of the numbers (based on what would produce the correct result)
