With things like Beyonder now, Arans would be hitting for a different damage cap part of the time, meaning their total damage per second at cap would be more than their hits per second times 999,999. Similarly, hits by shadow partner have a lower damage cap but still provide the same number of hits per second.

Even so, it would be a good rough-estimate until someone takes the time to actually figure it out.

Why would critical matter? If your range is max all of your skills reach the damage cape unless you're playing a class that can break it (i.e. Heroes and Burster).

Critical matters in the case of Phantom. Just an example of optimisation.

What about Bandit's Meso Explosion?

Not as fast as Midnight Carnival, even with the Shadow Partner crippling max dmg capability. MC is also triggers Fatal Venom, where I don't think Meso Explosion does. There's also the issue of making the coins.

Well with shads it's be a combo of MC+PP+ME

Err, here's my math.

Midnight Carnival 780ms
8 hits at 999,999 7 hits at 699,999 (given that hits/attack caps at 15; more if it counts the last SP hit but doesn't show it)
Meso Explosion 1000ms
15 hits at 999,999

Given time frame of 78000ms we have:

100 Midnight Carnivals: 100 * 8 * 999,999 + 100 * 7 * 699,999 = 1,289,998,500
78 Meso Explosions: 78 * 15 * 999,999 = 1,169,998,830

These delays are pulled from MapleArchive. Furthermore, I don't believe Meso Explosion triggers Fatal Venom, although I'm not sure of that. Where is my math wrong?

EDIT: I just checked again and it looks like Meso Explosion got updated timings during Justice =_= what a hassle.
