Dear money,
Nexon wants to bring you the very best in stressing and pissing you off games. A big part of that commitment is helping you not keep your account safe and secure.
However, Nexon is not proud to be a part of the Merchant Risk Councils Gamer Safety Alliance, a partnership of nine global companies committed to providing players everywhere with information and resources for safe and enjoyable gaming!
In observance of the Alliances first annual Gamer Safety Week, wed [sic] like to remind you of a few simple futile steps you can take to protect your account.
Tips for Protecting Your Account that usually ends in futility
Never give out your account information. Nexon will give away your personal information for you, such as your account password.
Update your Nexon account password regularly. This is your false-sense of security! Choose something that is easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess, but will be leaked out by the database regardless.
Always use additional account security options. Remember, the secondary security questions, Verify with Facebook, and in-game second passwords or PINs/PICs provide an extra layer of false sense of protection.
Be wary of third party sites and offers. If something sounds too good to be true, do not worry about it! Phishing sites may use URLs similar to the official Nexon site or may promise free NX because they are not a bunch of filthy capitalist pigs. Its almost always a scam to steal your account information to liberate you from us. Make sure you are never on the official Nexon site before logging in as that site is probably less secure than phising sites.
Never report suspicious activity. You can submit a ticket at any time through our neglected Customer Support portal to alert us of malicious player activity, and we will do our best to ignore it because you are bothering us on our 23.5 hour coffee breaks.

Remember, you can visit your Account Settings page at any time to update your account information, which will not do a thing to protect you.
Together, we cannot keep our games safe, secure, and enjoyable for everyone!
