Inmate's next project should be getting the farm above level 3. Clearly the time to do so just opened up. =P

And here I was a few months back saying that 250 was going to be a bigger feat than anyone who got near 200 Pre-4th job
I take it back.
I think this might be sort of like the general level 250 thread but anyways, someone posted this on my blog today.
February 21 at 8PM KST would be February 20 at 6AM EST for those of you who want to watch it lol.
hello. KMS ranking 1st user “베베” (bebe) will reach lv250 on feb 21st. owner of bebe is “BJ글자” in afreeca tv. so BJgeulja will broadcast lively on feb 21st p.m.8 (KST). bebe exp is 99.05% now
http://afreeca.com/skswhdkgo (if you watch broadcasting. Install plug-in.)
I don't think you need to worry, Afreeca.tv is a legitimate site, it's even supported in-game now :O Anyways, I just tried to watch a stream and I didn't have to install any plug-ins so lol.
congratulations! you did something I could never hope to do because I tried the grind and its hard! I'm still level 188 on my zero and I'm borderline quitting just to play my low level dawn warrior instead.
I'd like to see you do it, since clearly this is not a respectable feat.
Compare their (level 230+) exp per hour rates to that of high leveled players Pre-BB.
Even with the +/-40 level method, the exp rates are abysmally low, just like, if not slower than, that of Pre-BB leveling.
lnmateSearch leveled so quickly simply because of how many EXP multipliers (as well as spawn) we have available to us now, as well as how prepared he was.
I can safely say that 200-250 takes just as much dedication as leveling to 200 before BB.
....You do realize the fact he had both these methods (although only the later exists now) kind of makes the pre-bb< argument invalid, since, ya know, it didn't take a mere month to get to level 200, more like 198-200.
Not sure about now since the party thing has been adjusted but it did undermined it a tad.
That's true. I'm not sure how much it was for others, but for me, the +/- 40 level method let me train 3x faster than I am now.
But still, lnmate trained 24 hours a day pretty much every day. I'm not sure if anyone did that Pre-BB, but there's a reason only 1 person made it to 250 even with this method available.
It's hard to rival lnmate's dedication, and I think that's what some people are forgetting.
Judging by %/hour and amount of hours training I think it's a pretty fair comparison.
Sadly I was too noob back then to be very high leveled so I can't speak for how fast or slow training was.![]()
Can anyone else weigh in on how fast exp gain was pre-bb, when you were around 19x?
I'm sure we could ask @ZeroByDivide; for his %/hour to make a more accurate comparison, too.
The way oJavi worded his post made it seem like this wasn't an achievement, even though he put in an insane amount of hours.
It's an achievement because he was the first, but it was extremely watered down compared to what we originally expected the feat to be. And a lot of people spent majority of their time training, I knew one who managed to figure out or at least ask how to be able to train on her laptop in the shower. Hell I got to 140 back before gobies were out spending 16-18 hours at grims, thats why the controversy of Tiger was so great because they'd cycle between 5 people in different timezones so he could actually train 24/7.
Edit: and oh god, dockzz got to 140 training on f`ucking coolies for crying out loud, man that was ridiculous...
of course, I'm not saying it was easier or harder now than pre-BB. In fact I'm sure it was much harder pre-BB, especially before ToT came out, and before Leafre came out it was just insane. xD
Hell, it took GMS almost 3 years from when the live server started (May 2005) to when Fangblade hit 200 (March 2008 I believe). That says a lot right there, I'm not trying to say pre-BB was easier.
I guess the point I want to make is that, even with the +/- 40 level method, training is still as slow and boring as it was back in the day, and is worthy of similar praise, in my opinion.

if you want to compare with pre-bb(7 years ago), I used to get 14% per hr at lvl 11x at gobies during 2x. It was a lot better as i/l when leafre came out but I quit shortly after.
Short of spamming ultimates on a Mage class, this was probably the fastest possible training method pre-bb:
Ended up at around 5.4% an hour with HS/Taunt/Family EXP/2x card I think. Used to be 1,697,021,059 EXP from 199 > 200 (? not sure, I used the MapleTip EXP table) and that was 92,040,216 EXP in 5 minutes.
And that's a fair amount of stuff the first 200s didn't have; FangBlade was at Himes and Skeles all the way, and obviously no Taunt. Which were both ~4000 exp per kill instead of the 6500 of COGs.
It's still a very great accomplishment, but not in the same way it was before 4th job, when the best training spots were himes and your only bonus exp options were 2x events and a priest with HS. Of course, I can't do it because the grind past 200 is too time consuming for an unfunded Bishop such as myself. However, clearing out a map pre-4th job is not the same as it is now, where you can destroy an entire mob within the click of a button as a Luminous. Remember, pre-4th is not Pre-BB specifically, I'm referring to the time when grims/himes were the best training spots and you couldn't cast ultimates.
He still accomplished something before KMS and they had like a 5 month start or something? I just like looking up to the old players that got to lvl 200 before this game became all crazed with it's insane damage cap and power hungry players with a lot of leftover money to spend.
