These pixels are because of the GIF Animator i'm using. It sucks, but it's the only one i have :o
Also, regarding Clouds, well, it was sorta intentional to be like that, not really that bad, and straight line like, but it was supposed to be like fog in a part of the tile, to show that there's a tile, and the fact you aren't walking directly in clouds.
Some new animations i could do for today, they have no purpose yet, tho. Done just to pratice :o

Healing bothers me a bit, maybe because it's scaling at a constant rate. I think it would look better if... the scaling decelerated near the end... I don't if you get what I mean.

Yea it needs to decelerate at the end of Heal.
Done school yet? I expect 8 new areas by the time summer ends. And 53 new monsters. And two new jobs, fully animated.

I like this thread. Are you using Photoshop? If so, what are your settings for your fx glow effects? Mine don't seem to look Mapley enough. :\
I want this.Holy Shot: Uses your holy power to concentrate, and make a powerful shot that can hit up to 5 monsters.
Max Level 15: 200% damage dealt to 5 monsters, 5% extra critical rate.
Had some ideas lately and tried on making a cutscene. The characters took me approximately 3 hours, done on SAI and Photoshop CS3.
Thought of making something related to Athena, since she always sounded like the leader of everything in Victoria Island.
"In her past, she helped Aran to rescue the citizens of Minar. Not only that, but she helped to protect the Maple World agains't the Black Mage.
But she holds a secret. Many years before everything happened, she had a daughter with Phyllius, while she still lived in Eurel.
Finding that she was being an obstacle to him, the Black Mage noticed that Eurel was protected by the spell placed by Mercedes, but began to seek for Athena.
Athena returned to Eurel, but noticed her daughter ran away from home when all the battle near Eurel started.
She asked Phyllius and he was already cursed and cold. She ran away and began to look for Lily. Athena had an incredible amount of knowledge, she learned a lot living in Ellin Forest's Library building, and had the knowledge to find the source of power that the Black Magician wanted when he came to Ellin Forest and poisoned it.
Athena is told that Lily is with the Black Mage. He asks for the map, that was hidden in Ellin Forest, and that could lead to the Legendary World Tree, that is an incredible source of power.
Athena asked the elders, and although they wanted her to search for another way, she decided that her daughter's life was what did matter. So, she was told to meet him in the Dark Forest, an unknown place that could hide many secrets.
She gives the map to one of his generals, and demands to see her daughter. They escape, and she's left alone in there.
She can feel that her daughter is inside that forest, and then begins to look for her. Many hours later, she begins to give up until she sees a hand near some bushes.
She runs, expecting to find her daughter untouched, since she fulfilled the pact she made with the Black Mage. But instead, she finds her daughter dead, with a dark arrow in her chest.
Her daughter was as cold as the citizens in Eurel, she cried, and hugged her daughter's body. She hears some noise, Akyrum warped to there demanded by the Black Mage, and tries to kill her. Filled with anger and sadness, Athena fights Akyrum, and is able to defeat him.
But once she does it, Akyrum warps her away from the forest. She's locked inside a room in Time Temple, but manages to escape.
She cries when she gets back to Victoria, knowing that both of her most beloved people are away from her, and cursed.
She promises to herself to take revenge for it. And rebuilds her life alongside a whole civilization in Victoria Island, until the present day, when she can finally meet Phyllius, and tell him what happened when Eurel gates reopen.
What she didn't know, was that her daughter was not dead, but cursed with Black Magic. The black arrow penetrated her heart, and removed the feelings she had. She lost her memory, her feelings.
A young girl with an amazing talent for Magic, turns into a demon, a woman with an incredible amount of strength. Lilian, the little elf from Eurel, is now Lilith, the right-hand woman of the Black Mage".

Tried to pratice one of the things i've always found it hard. NPC's. :C
But instead of cutting some other NPC into pieces, and making some sort of a "New Frankenstein", like what happened with every NPC that i've done before this, decided to make something 100% of my own.
Drew a sketch in paper, pixelated it in SAI, and started colouring it in Photoshop. Two sprites as a result of 2 hours.
This one is a random girl, has nothing to do with my previous works, and was the first attempt.
However, the second one is the main villain for my very very first project, Arcadia. She's a semi-goddess, as she is the daughter of the Maple Goddess with an human being. She's the young sister of Cygnus, that's controlling all the curse applied to Time Temple and keeping the entrance to the Chamber of Time guarded. As a traitor, she's the one responsible for her whole family being kidnapped by the Black Mage and locked inside the prison. In exchange of incredible power, she let everything in her land to be destroyed with the power source in that Island, the master Seal Stone. She made a pact with him to look after the World Tree, and destroy it, since both had the same goals, and were equal enemies.
Seeing everything through the true sanctuary of Rhinne, she's the princess, preparing herself to be named the queen of this world, alongside the one she loved, before he turned into the Black Mage. She's the only person that knows the Black Mage, his fears, his secrets. Because of that, she could be of great help, or great danger, to him.
Both fight for the power of that land, and although lovers, they are capable of betraying each other for more power.
Her lovely look is what grants her the surprise when seeing her true powers. A monster, as powerful as the Black Mage.
This is just her innocent look. Still working on her true powers. :o
Though i don't really think the result is as good as i wanted it to be, still an improvement. :C

Well, decided to try to improve her look and make her boss form. Drew her dragon and her throne in paper, done it in SAI, then Photoshop and this is how it ended.
Although i'm not really satisfied with it, i think it's been worth praticing for these 3 hours. :o
How did I not find this thread earlier? Unbelievable fan work this is, and I've yet to to even load all the pictures! The SG/MY map would be more awesome if it actually beared the shape of the real SG/MY though.

LOL SHE IS ALIVE!!I've spent hours trying to make that statue look decent, i give up ;=; I've remade her eyes more than 20 times and it still doesn't look good. :S
Well well, it's been a lot of time, hasn't it? *gets this back from it's grave*
I'm finally on my vacations, holidays are over, and work begs to be done. While cleaning my room earlier, while writting a novel, i've found quite a lot of concepts and stories, very old ones. I dunno, i've got to think about it, and how those never left the paper, because before, i tried to adequate my style to MS one so much, i was more designing things than creating them. While attempting doing something of my own a month ago, and practicing hard things, i've found out that i don't need to mold my style into MS, i just need to add a touch of MS into my style, not the inverse. I just promised to myself i would never ever design anything for MS using their sprites, or their art as a sample, if i'm going to be back, it's to make something ONE HUNDRED PERCENT made by me.
One of the concepts and stories i found was this one, the Pirate Hero. I've started to turn these alive by yesterday, and many things are still in development, a world map for a new whole continent mentioned before, monsters, NPC's, and this one, a whole new class.
Since i don't have much time to finish the drawing by today, i'll just leave a shadow in here, a small surprise will be here by tomorrow. :>

Expect something much better than before, as i changed some things on my tablet, got much used to it, AND gave up of Photoshop, instead, SAI all the way. Also the fact it's been a year already. ;__;

And I thought I worked hard on my fan-made areas/skills/classes/concepts.
For skills, all I did was edit the skill icons and wrote numbers and descriptions for them at the moment. Areas, just the basic concept in terms of monsters, story, and quest list. I stopped quite a while ago, because I realized that these were only taunting dreams that made current updates so, very bleak...
But seeing someone else doing it, and making it so close to reality, you motivate me to continue it and strive to make it more realistic, reach your level...
