Why would nexon change their playstyle from ship to rapidfire+summons... >.>
Pierce has more mobility, but the range means you'll never catch up, even if you fire like 3 Pierces in the same timespan. In the majority of situations, you're only as strong as your weakest hit. Dragon Strike itself dominates Pierce because of the AoE. Pierce effect is hardly justified in training when you still either need to use another attack to kill the first few monsters, or everything's dead so the Pierce effect didn't help. If there were 8 mob bosses on flat platforms, it might be more worthwhile though.
Because "improvement"
I'm seriously a little annoyed even if I don't play anymore. I understand removing a few skills in their kit in favor of new ones, it's not like stuff like grenade was really useful or anything. But to change everything that the class used to be? What the hell is wrong with them? I didn't put all my hard work into making that class, it's horrible.
I really hope they make brawlers a melee class again.
They're not a spirit summoning class.
They're not cannoneers/mechanics.
They're a melee job. Brawlers brawl.
Get rid of the stupid spirit summon concept, transformation is fine. Just make it appear ON us for a bit during attack animations, don't make it a pineappleing flying spirit.
I'm not too bothered, really. Gunslingers were always a fast, mobile summon-based ranged class. Though the Battleship was cute and cool, it really killed their mobility. I'm a little sad to see it gone (one thing less to look forward to; I'm still Lv100), but there was really no point in having both Rapid Fire and Battleship Cannon in the same tier since it's fairly easy to keep the ship from breaking. Love the gun-toting octopus though. The octopus turret is awesome too; a major improvement over the current Octopus, and the Crew summon is much better than Gaviota.
the change makes change logically IMO. pirates are now using the nautilus ship as their main ship and Kyrin as their captain. having a different looking ship by yourself firing cannons doesn't really makes sense. and this new change fits a lot more with gms naming of corsairs
and for the ultimates I wish they would spend more time with it. I'd like to see corsairs ultimate with te char going mad, jumping up and firing everywhere than the lame ship
I feel they should have instead worked on ship mobility and get rid of rapidfire pretty much. Actually, I did like the shipbreak mechanic originally, I thought it was a pretty cool idea to have a superdamage mode that's limited by HP meaning you have to keep track of it. The mobility was to keep the ship from being overpowered, but it would have been cool if they instead had the ship with a speed and attack mode, so instead of dismounting while traveling across the map you could switch to speed mode.
Okay, maybe that's not such a good idea. I still don't like taking out the skills the class was built on, especially iconic skills that the class was pretty much known for.
Yeah, really. No idea why they thought it was a good idea to give everyone an ulti just because. Remember when 4th job first came out and everyone was crapping their pants over skills that attack the whole screen going to mages? Well, who cares now, lol.
tbh, that little boat is the main reason I picked gunslinger over brawler back when pirates were new.
Pretty much kills the class for me to have it removed. :p
I'd have liked it better if they had kept the ship while making it so that movement skills worked on it, and not capping its speed at 100%. Maybe they could have just made the ship change the skill aesthetics (a wave of water for dash, a cannonball for Recoil and a water spout for Wings), and had Rapid Fire replaced with that squid attack and had it stronger for 2-4 targets while Torpedo could be better for 5-8 targets or something.
I guess removing the ship could still be a decent decision, but they'd still have to remove Rapid Fire for me to approve.
little bit worried about the the updates. Still no sign of new KMST. Next Week this patch goes live on KMS ( Ellinforest Guild said so).
All 4 Jobs need massiv improvements.
anyone feel like the crazy octopus skill should've been the animation for the rapid fire skill? i feel like it'd be more appropriate if they make that skill the 1vs1 hurricane-like skill hitting 4 times (just like mechanic's skills) since it goes so crazy
