U still do meso bomb.
Oh boy.
Here it comes.
I see two possible things that can happen here.
1. Argument about how maplestory takes no skill
2. Argument about how maplestory was so amazing before potential ruined it.
Pick one.
10 hits at around 250%-300% per hit would be great for mist eruption. Considering it needs to be setup to be effective and has almost no use at most normal mobs I'll agree with you. Unlike chain lightning, which is ready to go whenever since it requires no setup and has a shorter cooldown.
Why an argument? Aren't those concepts unanimous?
Anyway, it's less that the game requires no skill, and more that the new skill structure simply does not work.
We NEED BoT back, or at least some other mob skill to replace it, because atm, it's useless to spam Bstep, and we have no other mob skills.
I think it would be cool to have a skill where you attack the first mob, then a spirit-thief lunges forward out of you to the next mob, then a different one lunges out of that one, and so on in rapid succession until you hit 6-8 mobs. Basically a forward focused BoT with a sick animation and farther range.
They don't have transformation when they use their skills LOL. They summon a person in transformation to do the skill for them, basically like how evans themselves don'tdo the attacks.
If you don't have a corsair, you won't understand, simple as that. Mount lag is completely fixable, so is ship mobility, and so is adding stance.
I know about ship mobility/stance issues and how they are fixable, but what's this mount lag of which you speak?
Eruption is perfect one mobs. You just have to set up in strategic places on maps so when u reach there eruption is ready to go. Its like new style mist training.... And the early cap makes sence because they do the most damage with the least amount of funds. And that also makes sense because if you ever tried to boss on a f/p archmage then you would know that keeping that theoretical dps is near impossiable. Its kinda more realistic (for me anyway) if you recast ALL of your DoT skills inbetween every mist eruption
Whats the general consensus from korea on the changes?
For the most part.
It's like that pic someone posted earlier, we were all really pissed at first, but we got over it pretty fast because come on, octopus riding a gatling gun. We really did come out on top here, and the only thing I wish they'd change from this is to take out that ultimate or change it because we do not need all pirates having the same ult. If the animation was something like a fleet of battleships just coming along and pineappleing everything up it'd be great but I'd rather they just keep in the ship instead, but nerf it a and the skills related so it would actually be a choice if we wanted to use it or not and not basically mandatory.
What a friend of mine and I didn't like about Corsairs was that once you got to 4th job, you basically just sit around in your ship and the whole play style changes. This revamp basically makes Sairs play the same in 4th job as they did from 1 - 120. There are a bunch of people who are complaining about it (read: basil), but the biggest thing for most people is that we lost our ship. I mean yeah some of you other classes lost some important skills, but the ship was pretty iconic. The changes are pretty understandable though, so most of us are pretty satisfied with this.
I just wish they had kept in our flamethrower/ice splitter combo. It was pretty cool, and having damage over time and being able to freeze things was really useful.
Whats up with MS nowadays? Everyone likes to fight for the second to weakest class in game. they don't fight for the weakest cuz everyone knows buccaneers got that award.
I don't really believe Shadowers were the second to weakest class, but if they were that could have been fixed with mere damage boosts. You can't argue about survability though, Paladins don't just outshine shadowers, they surpass all other jobs on that and thats ok, we all understand thats the main characteristic of that class unlike for shadowers.
In before the reason why they didnt do the right changes to buccaneers and Nightlords is that they are saving the 'good stuff' for the thief and Pirate legends.
Oh pomegranate...I just realized we can't do that anymore.
Brb storming Nexon HQ with the double barreled shotgun they replaced my Ice Splitter with.
Well Buccs are now top tier DPM, so Nexon agrees with you xP
Are you kidding about Shads not being survivability based? That's the whole class conception, they were the original tankers. Our entire goal of existing was to do crap damage but be the last man standing, after Big Bang, we gained a buff in damage at the cost of no longer being the survivability kings, but slowly, up until Jump and Legend, as evident by this, we became third weakest, and all of our unique survivability based skills like MG and SS were spread among other classes.
This update pushes our damage back up to a respectable level, and increases our avoidability/status resistance. In other words, it puts us back on the grid in a fair way. I actually think Shads got the fairest end of this update. Even though we lost BoT, and training's going to suck without it, I honestly believe Nexon forgot about Bstep's delays.
Anyone already compile all the animations? And can post them?
