    It also is the reason these "compensation" packages were given out in the first place.

    If Nexon actually listens and gives a damn telling them they've missed the mark has the potential to actually accomplish somewhere, where bending over just taking it does not. Stop prognosticating as the evidence to back your opinion.

    Okay, I do not need a life lesson from someone who continues to play a video game with an already proven 10 fold reputation of being incompetent. If you want the truth, no matter what they would have given me I wasn't going back. I was going to sell it to meso farmers or something a blackmarket.

    Why is that it took a year, of spamming my email, to give me a GENERAL compensation of item's I can't use. You are not reading deep enough and shallowly trying to poke sh`itty holes through my logic. There response is inexcusable, but unlike most player's I'm smart enough to realize that to rebuild is to set up for sabotage when the company works against you. I can let go, I'm frankly annoyed with these immature opinions of "Be glad you got something".

    Oh and by the way, towards the "700m shield". Do you know how much I could just go and buy 1 billion mesos right now? $12. So congratulations, 2 years of building up your characters, destroyed by a companies incompetence, a year for some type of response of responsibility, for $12.

    Viaje, you are the guy of the "they could have".

    Nexon has never done anything like this before. This is their first step, and I'm sure that is not their last.

    It's a generic compensation to people who didn't lost billions. If you don't feel it's enough, send a ticket and seek more compensation.

    And the GM scrolls are not as much as the compensation they got from Nexon. At least in Galicia meso rates.

    It's a slap in the face.
    Getting no compensation would have been better.
    It's an insult.
    It's saying to people: "Here's some compensation but we'll just not make it very good so that it's worthless for most of you who have better equips. That way, we can say we compensated but not actually do anything!"

    Like pineapple they haven't.
    They've given out Maple Point and NX as compensation before.
    They've restored items before.
    They've restored characters before.

    So don't sit there and lie to me, even if it's a lie in ignorance.

    "This is the first time we are extending this offer, but we hope to make it a permanent part of the MapleStory support policy to provide faster response to players who have had their accounts compromised."

    What about that makes it sound like this is a work in progress?
    They're pretty damn clear that this is the only compensation you should expect.

    It does not help to say "Well, you could have done this instead of that." I see no point in writing it.

    And again, I'll be more specific, Nexon has never done like this before to this many players. Of course they took the lazy way out of this. You have high expectations of the company. If you want a better compensation, then send a ticket to them.

    And as if a company stays the same through out the years. If players send tickets, Nexon will improve the offer over time. The simple fact we are getting anything at the moment proves that they change step by step.

    To be fair, Quickster was halted for the wrong reasons, and either Netflix didn't understand the issue (likely), or the customers are just that stupid. The biggest issue was pricing, and lack of availability for streaming, with equal pricing to the separate plans (lol?) and next to that was panic (change, complication, omg!!! right?). Which actually "possibly" halted something that could have been good for game rental, making it relatively cheaper, and faster for returns. I can't speak on the subject either way, cause I don't care, I just happen to work there, and I thought the situation was laughable.

    However, I do agree this compensation is utter crap, and the funny thing is, people in here speaking for everyone else, don't know what their talking about, and are speaking on behalf of people that don't pay Nexon's bills nearly as well. Which frankly, should make them less important, just to be frank.

    Besides, even most average players are smart enough to avoid Reverse/Timeless gears in this day and age. In fact, even before Von Leon, Bloody, and Empress gears, those equips were a rare sight. Considering you could get lower leveled, and better gear even more easily, and make it a ton better. I mean, thieves for instance, if you even just want to be decent, you would still want to stick to Top/Bottom equips, and if you're going to upgrade, you'll go for Empress if you're willing to switch to an overall at all.

    If you even try to mention looks, then even further you're talking about a customer base that Nexon shouldn't cater too, and again I say, frankly, SHOULD be less important. Which is even more of a reason for the more funded to be disappointed, they are usually the ones that put money into the game, then when they get screwed over cause of Nexon's screw ups, Nexon isn't willing to compensate fairly?

    It should have been case by case, and false reports would be canceled out by this. Ultimately, while I do agree, that since it's not case by case, it shouldn't have happened at all, these people do deserve to be fairly compensated, especially, since most of these people will likely stick around and continue to be loyal players. This just shows a complete lack of respect imo, where as in the above mentioned example with Netflix, they showed some semblance of respect for their customer base.

    I know they are run by the same company. But you can't give the same compensation to the community of an entirely different game.

    Nexon never intended to give you any compensation before this.

    Nexon makes millions of dollars, yes, but why should that give you high expectations? Again, you should not expect anything from them.

    Nexon could as well close the game and you would seek compensation because they got millions of dollars.


    And I don't get why you got to be so aggresive if someone does not share your opinion.

    If i had to hazard a guess, it's because your argument is retarded to the point of absurdity and you refuse to admit defeat in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary of your main points. If you don't get these people's argument by now, you probably won't.

    The thing is quite simple, this applies to both affected and not affected people:

    Casual "players", as in, people who never got more than 2b mesos, nor had any decent potential items, and lived from events, will be drooling all over this compensation package, as it's more than they've ever seen in an inventory.

    Long time customers, as in, people who had 3b+ mesos, even up to tens of billions of mesos, who had good potential items and probably spent a lot of either money or effort in the game, are thinking that this is a spit in the face from Nexon.

    So yes, Nexon is pleasing a bast majority: their casual players. But their old loyal customers, who actually made them win millions even during an economic crisis, are not happy and most of us are not willing to play along with their crap.

    Because you're making the fundamental mistake of insisting your opinion is the only right one.
    At which point you're trying to argue that your opinion is fact, and a fact is something that can be proven or disproven, hence the people pointing to the flaws in your facts.

    Your flaw here in referring to the 'vast majority' would be that the 'casual players' weren't the main target of hacking because they didn't have as much to take. The players who are getting screwed by this compensation were also the key target because they were the plumpest fruit.
