I'm not going to throw around wild suspicions either. If I have something I think is valuable I'll bring it up.

There's a significant difference between information and suspicion. Information can be borne off of suspicion, sure, but if you have no evidence to support a claim you just make yourself look worse, which when you're townie just makes things worse because people waste their time on you when they could be working towards taking out mafia.

The advantages of day 1 lynches extremely outweigh the disadvantages.
In my opinion it's much more advantageous to get an early lynch in, for a few reasons:
-Early reads are often some of the strongest.
-Day 1 lynches give you an ability to analyze the prior day's wagons, instead of wasting day 2 with what could've been done on day 1
-Lynches are obviously the town's strongest, and sometimes only, weapons against the mafia. Passing up an opportunity to lynch someone is counterintuitive to the goals of the town

Even if the lynches are random, it gives you SOMETHING to go on, instead of waiting around twiddling your thumbs until you find something to do/say.
It gives you some idea of the motives of each player, who they would like to target, etc.

For example, here we have a dichotomy between those who favor no lynches and those who don't. That in itself is important information.

Striking your old vote or debolding it is fine for retracting. Editing it out entirely is usually heavily frowned upon.

Because votes are the only factually serious thing that can happen during the Day, all else can be just lies with no meaning. An opinion that has no relation to a vote or intention of vote has no meaning.
Not that it means I'm seriously trying to lynch you, but by getting you to vote on someone we're already getting useful information on your intentions.

Day 1 is great to read people on the following days based on flips.

We have until Friday, I'll be analyzing people until then and I'll come up with who I think looks scummier by the end of it. Might as well get some discussion going.

I guess I worded that poorly. Shidoshi sort of clarified above.
I meant that a lynch on day 1 gives you something to analyze on day 2. Last game, nothing happened on day 1, so lynch analysis didn't start until day 3. It was a complete waste of a day.

I agree with Holypie and Shidoshi so far.

@Polantaris; I was talking about information, though. And suspicions are still extremely useful. They can support or affirm others' suspicions, give people an opinion of you... I like to believe that town can never say too much. The more town says, the more room for errors mafia can make and the more town can create educated guesses at who the mafia is.

And I can't really tell why Khaini's trying to sound murderous.

He's not the only one doing the "let's see later" thing either (there's Olsi), that kind of philosophy reminds me of last minute vote changes that often lead to poor reasoning and bad decisions.

KhainiWest and Niernen look pretty funny responding to each other's posts while ignoring everything else. Talking about making fresh cider doesn't seem like something nice, seeing as we're all apples.

I'd also add that, based on last game, don't be afraid to use your powers. I know last game was a lot weirder than this one and so this might not need to be said this time, but players being reluctant/scared to use their powers definitely made it easier for us mafia to win.

I see Holypie's point, but there is just too much that can go wrong if we lynch at random. Although, I can see going for those who are not so active. We have some time before the day ends, so there some time before we decide what to do.

Strong suspicions, I definitely agree with. Even semi-strong suspicions. However, if I only slightly suspect someone with barely anything to support my suspicion, I'm more likely to create some confirmation bias instead, which works against us.

I'm more suspicious of @Polantaris; though, I don't like it how he's suspicious of @Holypie; while basically doing the same, saying he's being "thoughtful" with his vote and waiting to see what happens before doing anything. Not to mention that he's suspicious of him only after 2 people voted for him.
I also don't know how to feel about @TheBirds;, @KhainiWest;, @MetaSeraphim; and to some extent @xBTAx;. They have posted at least once but for BTA and Khaini only 1 of those posts talks about something relevant to this game... unless metagame is relevant, which I think just makes things confusing instead of being helpful. Can someone explain why someone would talk nonsense somewhat actively?

See, this is exactly why I don't like revealing small suspicions. I do it once, and now I'm getting voted for. I only had slight suspicions of him based on a good point others brought up, which he has since addressed himself and I have since stopped suspecting. There was a good point brought up, but ganging up on a guy over one point is illogical, which is why I didn't do it. Then he addressed it himself earlier and now I'm back to watching. Right now there's no one that I suspect enough to bring up anymore, and I'm defending that line of thinking against the people who think we should blurt out every single thought that comes to your mind about people (at least, that's how I took it). At the time there was a good point brought up on Holypie.
