The way you said that makes it seem like the current GM's are mind controlling him.
Um, what's a difficult part of MapleStory to manage?
Suggestion for this thread:
Just in case this guy won't be able to answer EVERY question (Due to time restraints or something), I suggest that we use the +1ing system so that we can know which questions are more wanted to be asked.
As for the Ex-GM himself:
I don't know if he would be able to answer this question, but it's a serious concern, at least for me:
What was your general take on how Nexon (KR or NA) responded to customer/player suggestions, complaints, and other comments? For example, if there was a massive amount of negative commentary towards an update, did Nexon even care? Did they pay attention? Or do they just completely ignore us and just keep throwing in whatever KR gives them? If NA were to give suggestions based upon what the customers said, does KR even pay attention or care? Or are we just money to them?
How are bug reports actually handled? Do the reporters in the company simply send a report to NexonKR and hope they resolve it eventually? Why do some simple bugs take forever to fix?
There are nasty rumors about the ticketing system stating that accounts who file tickets that have spent enormous amounts of NX on said account get top priority in their tickets being answered. If this is even true, are GM's required to check the NX expenses and act based on NX spendings or does a system prioritize tickets automatically?
"You should be fired since you're here trying to converse with me and not policing MS."
I too am curious about the work environment there, as well as what GMs are allowed to do on a day to day basis, and how much company rules and bureaucracy gets in the way of trying to do the job you're given in the first place. I get the feeling a GM can't just simply see someone hacking and ban them, but instead have to submit it for approval. It'd be nice to see some sort of confirmation on that.
If you took up your job previously because you love the game, do you still love it as much now?
Hows the working environment at nexon? Is it all happy and best friends with co-workers like their videos portray it to be?
Have you ever talked/met anyone from any other department of maplestory (by department I mean...I guess branch? EMS,KMS,JMS,etc)
In your honest opinion, Do you think nexon as a whole is a money hungry company or is actually a company that wants to satisfy it's customers/players no matter what.
Get those last minute questions out there. I will be taking all submitted questions up until noon today, Central.
What was a typical day like working there?(this might be a broad question)
Is the building as nice as it looks in most pictures?
Where you around when one GM put his pass word in the notice?
What do you feel is an area that Nexon could specifically improve in, in regards to MapleStory? What is an area you feel is especially weak in managing the game?
Do you feel that the work you did as a GM was significant? That is, your work policing, managing the game, and possibly interacting with the community made MapleStory a better place? Do you feel that "red tape" prevented you from affecting the game as much as you would've liked to? Could you have done a better job without some of the regulations in place? Did you have a passion for Maple and enjoyed the work you did, or was it just another job to you?
Questions closed! Thanks everyone!
Let's hope for the best from this. It'll suck if the result would be like the previous q&a with savage and the Nexon employee.
EDIT: Ah crap. Oh well. I'm just gonna leave this here anyways as a possibly interesting 'what if'
'Do other GMs really like to communicate with other players (as they have been recently)? Or is it all a ploy to earn player's trust?'
