Considering the fact that several of my friends who did get hacked, but did not submit a ticket right away, recieved the, "You needed to of submitted a ticket within 7 days" message, I doubt' he'll get anything.

I added a comment the second time I was hacked, during the Legend Update. But a few days ago I added a new ticket, and just got another auto response 2 days later.
I even included a NX transaction from someone buying their pomegranate off the MTS with my NX, all I got was 5000 NX compensation, with a promise to further investigate, nearly 6 months ago.
I too want to see how yo27's ticket goes.

Congrats to everyone who got something out of this, Yeah you shouldn't have gotten hacked in the first place but Nexon owning up to it is an amazing step.
Guild mate was hacked, and promptly had her email changed by the hacker.
Sent Nexon tickets begging for any help whatsoever, was able to get her email RESET. Crazy huh?

Yeah this is true. I also feel like this is just a cheap gimmick to get people back, but realistically how much is 250k maple points gonna do ya if you lost everything? I'm not going to change my opinion on nexon until I see some actual change in the development. I honestly think the entire Maplestory team got fired and they just made the other teams take over.
I agree. At this point most people who got hacked months ago and still play already recovered most of em at least. As for the development changes even if the America side got a whole new team they still have to wait on Korea to do any thing about bugs.
Whose bright idea was it to keep all the developers in one place when you have multiple versions of the game worldwide each with their own problems. Then again this is nexon logic doesn't really mix with them all that well.
Unless the recent server merges have to do with anything, maybe the high ticket volume is the result of people's success stories just very recently.
There are probably thousands of scum submitting tickets about fake-hackings. I wonder how long an "inspection" can take.
But anyway, it's still too soon to say anything... Nexon redeemed itself for like one week out of several years and I would be very sad if things went back to normal.
So far, my tickets have not been answered since Feb and it seems that they are now overloaded again. I had an account breach that cost me some NX through MTS.
The recent few that received crazy NX compensations of 250k NX or 500k NX is scary. I see them go on smega frenzy and item showing. Well, good for these guys whether they deserved it or not. They took advantage of a temporary goldmine. For some, it was as same as taking advantage of an exploit. By now, it is already too late and they will stop giving such compensations.
Are they good for being able to respond to messages for a whole two weeks or so? sure. Are they going to keep going? doubtful as the spams will overwhelm them now. Is it fair for the ones that missed out on the crazy compensation? I think not.
My original ticket from months ago is still "open" no replies besides the high volume of tickets one.
Opened one for another account this week, which is "in progress" instead of just open, so the other one is a lost cause I'm assuming.
It will be a week tomorrow for me--and not just for my resubmitted hacked ticket. I also finally submitted a ticket about the glitched wedding receipt that has now been stuck in my inventory for six months, no response there yet either.

I still think it is wrong to start praising Nexon just because they've been doing good for a mere month, when their bad service sprees last for over a year every time. If they make it to december doing like this...all my praises.
If the ticket queue was sorted by date/time submitted, then it would logically follow that people who submit their tickets at the same time would get their tickets answered at the same time as well. If this were the case, then my friend would have had his ticket answered last week when mine was answered, as we both submitted them at the same time. But apparently it's not.
The reason people think that Nexon "magically turned into some super efficient company overnight" is because they kinda seemed like they did. They went from doing zilch about hackers, dupers, many glitches, and improvements to the game to actively pursuing them. They went from having shitty compensation for victims of Nexon's security/system flaws to having pretty damn decent compensation. You make it seem as if the mindset is completely baseless when it's really not.
It's clearly not, or the people who've been waiting months would've been addressed by now.
They're obviously cherry-picking tickets rather than automatically assigning them from queue in the order received based on availability. This is of course an idiotic and flawed model that no respectable customer service would permit.
Is it possible Nexon is looking at the NX records of every character with one of these tickets and responding according the ones that have spent most among them?. I can totally see this as an option considering Nexon lows profits from MS as of late and how pineappleing shameless they are.
Considering how much NX I've purchased and the value of my stolen equips, I should have gotten loads of compensation but I got that 7 day bullpomegranate too.
Oh well I was only going to buy face/hair coupons and never touch the game again.
I don't think they did much of anything with regards to hackers/dupers. I mean, yeah they patched the most common duping method but I'm sure dupers found plenty ways around that and plenty more ways still exist. As for other types of hacking, I haven't seen them do anything about that at all. "Actively Pursuing" aren't the right words for this.
They could do it, yes. Records of every NX charge and item purchase are available to view on the website, from the very first day cash shop opened in October 2005. I had pasted all of the data from that into Excel a while back and my spending history is well over $2000 total -- it's not hard to get the exact amount you've charged.
However, OP admittedly spent much less than that (~$700, I believe?) and received responses within 1-2 days. Today makes day 7 of my various new&resubmitted tickets (A bug on my character, a cash shop issue, and a hacked report) being left open. Additionally, there have been people who've submitted tickets after me and have already received responses... I suppose they could have all spent more than me, but I have a feeling Nexon is just pulling tickets out of a hat to answer.
I'll have to admit that Nexon has improved a lot. I just wish it to stay this way. Now all they need to do is start releasing some content that can be taken seriously, instead of the constant generic and boring new classes.
I commented earlier on the Diablo hype, that I bet people will forget about it in 6 months and pissed off everyone with my comment. Once again, I was right. Don't get me wrong, the game is probably good, but when the hype is simply too big, people will just end up disappointed or just get bored of the game eventually and start the hype again for a sequel.
One of my accounts was hacked in the beginning of February, hours later that same day I submitted a ticket, its open, there has been no change to it besides spamming of high ticket volumes.
Yet the one I submitted Saturday after reading this thread, was answered today with this reply. Stating to report it within 7 days, which i did with the first ticket, which has still yet to be even acknowledged. Of course.

The email i used to use for Maplestory got shut down, and since i need to be able to log into that email to change it to a new one, i'm stuck with it and therefore don't get any emails from Nexon whatsoever, if my account was ever compromised i'd be screwed.

I was hacked as well in November, but only lost a level 17 Evolving Ring. I don't/didn't have any "good" items, so I didn't care. But a couple days later, Nexon deactivated my account for "suspicious activity". I would have reactivated the account, but the email provider didn't exist anymore. If only I knew that before (it was my dad's email because I wasn't "old enough" to sign-up way back when).
So I sent a ticket on the 7th of June and all it told me -three days later- Need more info. Sent back my ID and new email, but no actual response. I think the system's been sending emails, but with the dead email provider... I don't even want anything except an email change from them. Is it really that hard to just to change emails?
My ticket from last year is a "work in progress", at this rate I'll get an actual answer... sometime next March, I believe.
I re-submitted all my tickets that I've had open for over a year now and their all got answered within 1 week with actual answers along with Maple Points for the delayed response time.

@Stereo; If they gave 2x as compensation, then I think they consider it "compensated".
I mean, seeing as how people here that got compensated with 5k mp to full reverse sets can't dispute their compensation to get the hundreds of thousands of MP people are getting... I doubt they would even do anything for this.
