This makes me sad for all the things Shadowers could have been.
What i want to know is if chains of hell can be used on immobile monsters.
I'm trying to figure out what this class would use on immobile bosses.
No, it can't be used on immobile bosses. It says so in the description. I just forgot to write it down.
I wish they would have made this slightly different. If it's used on a mobile monster, the monster is pulled toward you. If it's used on an immobile monster, you are pulled to it. This would certainly make for interesting jump quests.
Visually and what looks like combat superior to a Shadower, has an ultimate like an Arch Mage's yet also has single target skills and party skills, hey I guess this is what I get for getting a Shadower and Arch Mage to 14x.
Ok, I've seen an Insoya video, and seems that dual blades have 2 damage ranges, one for daggers and one for blades. This is cause at the video, it's clearly shown that always 1 hit is weaker than the other 2, and it's always the middle one (The 2nd job 3hits skill, forgot name). So I guess hits done with dagger are stronger, cause daggers have higher attack.
Also, at the savageblow like skill, 3hits do the dagger damage, and the other 3 do weaker blade damage. (6 hits cause it's only level 1, I think). Therefore, they are still broken, but not as broken as it seemed at first.
How hard is it to sacrifice some skills. Assuming you get 1 SP per advance...

Endure sucks.
Thread sucks.
You don't really even have to get 10 triple stab. You can get 19 mastery and good level booster if you just leave it at level 1.
Disclaimer: This chart does not account for any delays between quick skill succession. At best, this char displays the maximum ~Normal (6) speed of all skills. For example, if Skill X has 600ms of delay, this at the least usually represents the amount of time before you are able to move after using the attack. At best, it represents the time before you can reuse the attack.
Spoiler
Double checking numbers...
Wow, 2700 delay on sudden raid. x_x
At least better than air strike, and it won't have server latency issues.
sooo what do they use on immobile bosses? triple stab?
Ok, seems like their HP isn't a problem after all.
(Just in case image doesn't show, it's a lvl 45 dual blader with 2,8k hp, without HB)
Edit: Thanks Justin, I was going to upload it to imageshack, but then my firefox frozed and closed.
Quick Table of main DPS / AoE skills (no criticals though):
Attack Time (ms) Dmg/Att DPPS Triple Stab 870 600 690% Fatal Blow 1402 1000 713% Chains of Hell 2400 3000 1250% --- --- --- --- Flying Assaulter (8x) 1380 800 580% (4640%) Final Cut (8x) 2160 1500 694% (5552%) Sudden Raid (15x) 2700 600 222% (3330%) (Full Screen)
fatalBlow.0.delay -142
lolwut.
Slash Storm appears to have some delay to it to prevent it from being spammed, though Fatal Blow may suffer from this as well.
Maxed Slash Storm: 115% x "2"
Maxed Fatal Blow: 125% x "8"
With the Dual Wield mechanic, this is 115% Dagger Range + 115% Blade Range vs 500% Dagger Range + 500% Blade Range
Speed for the two is roughly 1582ms for Fatal Blow and for Slash Storm, there's a separate 660ms and 1140ms component and I can't discern what both are used for, though Bloody Storm only has an 1140 component. Bloody Storm could just be using the 660ms component to combine with it, though it appears the animation sequence is a 420ms buffer with 540ms of slashing.
However, it either appears that they both have hidden delays that require a Triple Stab in between each or are so weak at level 1 that it isn't beneficial to spam them.
Assumed Base DPS
Maxed Triple Stab: 459.8%/s Dagger + 229.9%/s Blade
1 Fatal Blow: 155.5%/s Dagger + 103.7%/s Blade
Maxed Fatal Blow: 316.1%/s Dagger + 316.1%/s Blade
1 Slash Storm (1140ms): 54.4% Dagger + 54.4% Blade
Maxed Slash Storm (1140ms): 100.9% Dagger + 100.9% Blade
Draw whatever conclusions you may, this is merely theoretical. However, I would like to point out Triple Stab's significantly higher Dagger DPS compared to the difference in Blade DPS with Fatal Blow. Take that into consideration when attacking.
I can see it now:
Original designer: Hee guys lets make so many skills for the new job that they need to choose a path depending on their liking :D?
Nexon: NICE! And then we make a cs item giving them 1 sp for 10 k nx per use! :D. They're in the cs already cause they gotta pay mastery books so why not?
I'm quite curious about that "thorns" skill. With the criticals and that.
Could it be that the monsters on the affected area have a bigger chance to receive criticals? Or maybe characters inside that radius?
I would also like to state for economic purpose...
KMS has that additional shop permit that allows you to sell Cash Shop items along with regular items. So I don't expect the price to get shafted completely. KMS does have wierd pricings though (Chaos Scrolls 20-30m in Culverin). So what some people might do for money, is just buy those, and sell them in the Free Market.
Also, they may be limited time only!
>=(
That better not be an SE... From the looks of it, they'll have more HP than archers anyway, so MM could become obsolete and BM could become attack mules... their massive weapon attack + massive %-damage = HOLY wtp
Dear god, it's like every class in one, and way better. Just slap some INT gear on it and they'll be invincible.
Man, Dual Blade is so powerful, especially with Sudden Raid. If this class gets to use daggers as well, their prices will rise up.
From what I've gathered, you'd need more than some.
Using google translate on that skill Stack effect. "Mirror imaging to separate summoned by his alter-ego to make a pile. Stack attack the enemy by focusing on my role is to protect against enemy attack. Skills can be used only during imaging using a mirror." It looks like you sever ties with your shadow partner/mirror image, for what benefit I am unsure of. It could be some damage boosting.
I've heard you have to buy the skill books for this class from the CS...is this true?
Also, the % on the skills is high because the dual blade type weapons add very low amounts of weapon attack compared to other weapons.
Hey guys, looking at this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_UpL...layer_embedded
It appears at 0:16 that after he uses Final Cut, a buff of that skill appears in the upper right corner. Maybe that isolates the final variable: at a weird successrate, your damage is buffed by (maybe) +65%, for 60 seconds.
EDIT: It looks like a 100% success rate.
Sudden Raid + Venom = full screen poison brace?
Seems like it, and I also saw some monsters dieing from poison at the end of the video posted by WayOfTime, and as far as I know poison can't kill stuff right?
The player seems to have about 6000 HP, so I think he's double washed(he had like 2100 MP). In a few of AristosMS's videos you can see that they have quite a few HP problems at higher levels.
I just noticed but... Is final cut right on lv 6?
If it is, I believe it's ridiculous to spend 1k mp on a skill doing LESS D:
I saw a video of someone with Thorns AND Sharp Eye buff. So I'd say they stack...
the thing about that stacking is it doesn't prove that it stacks only that the buffs remain in the buff tray. the only way we would know for sure is if he did before and after damages. When you apple and someone uses rage, the apple still stays in the buff tray but the range falls lower, so they could be doing the same thing here not sure.
hm...i am waiting for the archer job because what they did is stole some skills from other jobs, put them into a shadower char and changed the effects you can spot the rotten part under this Gold. why did they make it an adventurer job?the whole point of been an adventurer is having no story related. thats where the heros Step in. btw thanks for neo city "gms cant handle neo tokyo" lol ow wait it got delayed 2times at least its on "soon" now, i think gms is the only version who can't keep their promise.
Ah, but the only reason because apples stay is because they still affect the magic attack increase! If you override the effects of a buff/pot, it'll dissapear, but if you don't override them all, it'll stay showing it still does some effect, even if it isn't the main one.
Here's the video of Thorns + SE, thanks to AristosMS

That's f'ucking overkill mang.
guy already posted it above >_> read
I think you should read.
Definitely some insane overkilling. He wasn't hitting crits as often as I thought he would though. Maybe it doesn't stack perfectly with SE.
This video shows Chains of Hell, again from AristosMS:
At around the 2:50 mark.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smEKdfy5pS4
And chains of hell is faster than demolition while being just as strong...
WHAT THE F'UCK.
he did scroll up... theres a link to the youtube channel with them all...
no no i'm sure you are the one who needs to read.. not only was it posted before we were discussing it, although the discussion was not a long one.Quote:

Since you two seem seem to be so sure it wasn't posted.. here's the quote n_n (page 9 has the actual link)Quote:

meh well the guy who started the discussion about the stacking saw it early as well (when they were just posted). Didn't check time of when they were till you just said so, so my bad i guess o-o
He probably saw it on Insoya or some other Korean video site. They have some good videos but they take forever to load ._.
lol they never load for me either -_- like i see the bar buffer but the video never plays =_-
anyways ontopic about the video i love how flying assaulter works after you just fj'd.. and do you guys think it and final cut will rush bigfoots? And if his damage is nice in kms i cant wait till we get them with all our broken equips n_n
That's because they don't have base criticals. 15 + 35 = 50% And remember mirror image acts like shadow partner, so only look at the bottom half.
In fact, I'm mostly sure they DO stack on everyone... I mean, look at that Aran down there... HE'S RAPING THE WHOLE PLATFORM.
I am crying for my Buccaneer now. They are like Mega Man, while the Dual Blade is Mega Man X with Golden Armor from X3.
http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r...characters.jpg
i LOL'd ^^^
well... arans are strong and we knew that.. but do you realize what this all means? if they do stack, some people thinking nightlords are broken now? just wait until you see them IF thorns + SE stack and then add on that beautiful new critical adventurer ring..Quote:

Hm... According to Spadow's latest blog post, the first Tornado Spin listed in the data either doesn't exist, or both of the Tornado Spins are combined into one skill in the actual game.
http://spadow.wordpress.com/2010/02/...of-dual-blade/
It makes sense. I don't know how anyone's going to go about allocating their SP when you only get 43+ SP during 3rd job and split all of that across 4 different 20 SP skills. At least this way, there's only 3 skills to choose between.
What the hell dual bladers LOL.
is endure like the other endure or do you not have to be on a ladder?
Is the range on chains of hell correct in the tables? It was way farther than that in the video.
So apparently Chains of Hell does work on immobile monsters if they're within a certain range (I think it's the 140% range in the skill tables). I just saw a video on Insoya of a Dual Blader using it on Newties. The pulling effect misses and nothing else happens when he is too far. But when he was within a certain range, the initial hit (pulling effect) misses but the actual attack hits.
Here's the insoya link, hopefully someone will put it on youtube:
http://www.insoya.com/bbs/zboard.php?id=ucc&no=9905
So if that's how Chains of Hell is intended to work...brb making this class my main. :f3:
