New Thief Class (Fan Made)
#1
This is another one of my 'made up' jobs I amde a while back converted into Southperry format. Ever wondered why Nexon left thieves, bowman and pirates with two subclasses?
If there was a 3rd branch of thiefs, what do you reckon it would be?
Here’s my idea of what I think the 3rd thief subjob would be.

Brigand
Brigands are the most versatile thief class. They are capable of both melee and ranged combat with their damages balanced between their two counterparts. Their main choice of weapons is a set of throwing spears that can be used as both melee and ranged dependant on the monsters position. In fact, the damage they can deal throwing is equivalent to their melee attack unlike bowmen and assassins making them a unique class. However, their throwing attack speed is somewhat slower than assassins, in fact as slow as a spearmans attack balancing both these classes. Brigands have one main disadvantage because their throwing spears are equippable after level 30 thus they must either use claws or daggers as pre-brigands.

Javelin mastery
Increases the mastery of javelins and accuracy, along with the maximum number of javelins to recharge. It only applies when the character is throwing javelins.
 Spoiler

Critical Throw
Enables the character to make a critical attack with throwing stars on a certain success rate.
 Spoiler

Endure
Additional recovery for both HP and MP even while hanging still on a rope or a ladder. The higher the level, the faster the recovery time, along with recovering additional amounts of both MP and HP.
 Spoiler

Javelin Booster
Use HP and MP to temporarily boost up the attacking speed of throwing javelins. It only applies when the character is equipped with throwing javelins.
 Spoiler

Haste
Temporarily improves the speed and jumping ability of every member of the party.
 Spoiler

Impale
This skill comes in two forms:
Melee: A stabbing attack that is somewhat similar to slash blast attacking up to 6 monsters and damage is reduced for every monster nearby.
Ranged: Like Iron arrow, the missile passes through monsters and damage is reduced for every monster that the spear passes through.
Damage applies to both melee and ranged.
 Spoiler

Lancer
Fend
An AoE ability that swings the throwing spear around the character in a quick motion. Has a small chance of stunning surrounding enemies. Range is around the size of a shining ray.
 Spoiler

Mortal Blow
Same as the Ranger/Sniper version of Mortal Blow except for the fact a spear can be thrown at close range
 Spoiler

Spear Rain
Attack is the same as the Rangers Arrow Rain only with different graphics
 Spoiler

Venom Strike
A passive skill that gives the Lancer a chance to poison the enemy within a normal attack.
 Spoiler

Greed
A passive ability that increases the meso drop rate of every monster killed at a certain success rate
 Spoiler

Malice
A supportive skill that guarantees 100% critical for both melee and ranged attacks when active. Does not stack on with critical throw however. Has a cooldown time of 10mins for all levels.
 Spoiler

Wyvern Sting
An active ability that throws a single powerful spear that has a high chance of stunning a monster
 Spoiler

Ronin/Bushido Knight
Note: Yes the name is kinda lame, I can't decide on a name for this 4th job class, lets see if you can come up with a better name.

Shadow Shifter
With great reflexes, enables one to avoid the monster's attack.
 Spoiler

Taunt
Provokes a monster, which will cause its defense in general to increase. As a result, the EXP earned will increase, as well as the success rate for items to be dropped down from the monsters.
 Spoiler

Ninja Ambush
For a set period of time, a group of ninjas hiding around the bushes will periodically ambush up to 6 monsters at once.
 Spoiler

Punji Assault
Attacks with an ancient bamboo weapon up to four times at close range (Note: Attacks aren’t as fast as savage blow nor spear crusher)
 Spoiler

Triple Throw
Throws three spears in succession. Unlike the night lords version, this skill is slower though it deals more damage..
 Spoiler

Phoenix Strike
An ability that’s similar to the Marksmans piercing arrow except with flashy graphics and no charging time before attack.
 Spoiler

Shadowstep
Instantly teleports to a random monster on the screen nearby and deals massive damage Cooldown: 10 mins
 Spoiler

Equips
Javelins are equip items but they do have a certain number of stock on them except it is shown in the equip section of the inventory instead of the use inventory making it a unique weapon.

Note: All these spears are made by myself from various weapons, lets see if you can guess what stuff is those spears made from =P.

Overview
Yes some stuff are copied from other games and again I tried to change whatever I could so yea and I ended up with this.
Thank you for taking your time to read this and again, some constructive criticism and your vote would be helpful indeed =P.

So basically its like those karate guys who use staffs?

I like the Idea, but it seems like it just mixes most of the dit/sin skills together, it should be a little more unique.

It feels more like a SinditDkbow.
Which I am fine with.
It really is how a Javelin user would work.
If they could some how use Javelins in the hundreds/
The skills scale quite nicely

lolol. All I can see when I imagine this is just sticks being thrown around everywhere. D:
Shadowstep would be so impractical with its random teleporting and cooldown.
...but this subclass would probably bring some use to the "Hands" thing. o;

I noticed that the second job gets no single-target attack.

Its a very interesting idea, sounds like it would be fun to throw massive amounts of javelins at once. Punji Assault sounds like it would look cool.

Seems like more of an archer line of job than thief to me.

I see where you're trying to go, but you're basically just mixing together a bunch of classes. Would make them a bit too overpowered. :/

This makes me want to make my own thread about the class that I made up. <_< I'll get to that eventually.

carrying around hundreds of javelins doesn't really make sense to me, so i find the idea to be a bit odd.

Heh heh heh, me too. There should be a thread where people can get post their made-up classes so there are less threads about made-up jobs.

Seems pretty good, although there're too many copied skills, and you're basically giving them venom in the third job.

Oh I forgot to mention that you can't carry much Javelins AKA throwing spears along with you. The maximum number of throwing spears you can carry is around 500 to 600 due to their superior damage compared to throwing stars.

But the third job venom skill is nerfed so yea.
