New Warlock Job (Fan Made)
#1
Ok I was bored and I decided to write up a new class purely coz I simply had nothing else better to do. I also saw a thread earlier claiming if there would be any jobs after pirates so I should state my ideas here.
Yes I know some of these names aren't good and some are a bit too much copied from WoW but I'll try change the names if I could.

About Warlocks
Warlock Ability Requirements: Level 8, 20 Int
Warlocks are a class similar to mages in most ways except for the fact they use dark magic, warlocks are pretty much the only class that is capable of dealing dark elemental damage. The warlocks have two different 2nd Jobs, necromancers and dark wizards. The Necromancer path relies on summoning skills whilst dark wizard is simply more offensive.

Job Branch
Acolyte
Necromancer
:
Dark Wizard
Demontologist
:
Cultist
Dark Summoner
:
Sorcerer

Job Advancement
To advance 1st Job as a Warlock, you must talk to a dark wizard called Hines (mentioned in Rowen and the Cursed Dolls Quest) in a new map within Ellinia. The warlock expansion includes five new maps that leads from “The tree that grew III in Ellinia” to “Hunting ground in deep forest II” in sleepywood. Two screens from “The tree that grew III” will lead you to a minitown where a level 8 can advance as a Warlock.

Like the other 2nd job advancements, 30 dark marbles must be collected in order to receive the proof of the Hero for Job Advancement.

Necromancer Skills
Necromancers are a branch of the Warlock class in which their offensive abilities are limited but their ability to summon makes up for it. Necromacers also use the least MP out of all the jobs thanks to some of their skills including the 2nd Job skill.

Due to such similarities to the mage class as a whole, it might as well just be another 2nd job branch from magician. Like the two of them, combined in to one new branch. Though it does look interesting, and I have always been interested in a new mage type class. I'm always hoping for a necromancer type class, and an earth/wind element mage.

Looks like you put quite a bit of work into this~
A bit disorganized to just skim through though.

Retribution - Lolrunescape.

I'm surprised no one's said that yet. This is obviously well thought out, unlike most of the ones you see. Good job! (Btw, Hines was what Grendel the Really Old used to be called)

I like it.
Though for a class this they would need to introduce Holy Critters that are Dark weak.
Which would be awesome since undead/Dark critters and Holy ones give the best EXP for most RPGs

Pretty good. Although, one thing, in at least the blizzard quest, it's revealed shammoswas a prodegy magician that became evil, and therefore was sealed from his magic and turned into a Hobi, so he can't be a job instructor since he has no power to give people.

Also, like what was said before, these classes are waaaay too similar to the other magicians to be a seperate class, so they should be additions to the magician class.

the necromancer sounds interesting but the dark wizards doesnt sound too good. magicians have always been weak at since target damaging but they make up for it with mob attacks and mob control. like the FP poisoning and IL freezing. the dark wizard just has attacks like any other jobs; since it'll be using the magic formula, his spells aren't gonna be too strong. in fact it sounds like the FP if it has to use dark arrow all the way to 3rd job.

and banish doesnt sound useful. whats the point of removing the monster if its gonna come back?

id make a necromancer if this was real; soul catalyst will make them wanted in parties by NLs and bowmen and half mp will make them wanted by all magicians.

The first three jobs of these classes sounds a lot like the WoW version of warlock. I think you should switch out some of these skills and become more creative(although nexon likes ripping other games and callling it their own). The 4th jobs are a bit more unique. They would need better fine tuning to make them as useful as other classes in this game IMO. Maybe giving them their own damage formula would help out a bit, since their magic would be very different than mages.

For the sake of proper information, Hines = Grendel. He's named Hines in KMS, and was named Hines a long time ago in gMS.
