It's sounds pro-abortion (or, anti-anti-abortion) to me, the way I see it, they're saying that even though a fetus can become a full grown person, like a seed can become a mature plant, that doesn't make the fetus a person.

Acorns are tree seeds... if you plant them, they'll eventually grow into a forest. Or they might be eaten as saplings by a deer. Anyway, you're not supposed to worry about aborting the seed. I guess.

I read this as, although a seed may devolop into a tree, it's not a gurrantee. When you see a pile of acorns, how many trees sprout out from that? Not many. They are used for other purposes, mainly food. So giving an acorn's future tree life for another animal in order to live, is imo his argument that a fetus' can be used too save another childs life.

Yeah, the acorn doesn't turn into a tree, the tree grows out of it, but people don't turn into hair or vice versa.
