New Pirate Class (Fan made)
#1
JezzaRules version of Maplestory Patch 0.5

Finally done *whew*
It was a real pain trying to come up with skill names so I had to... lets say 'borrow' some names from other games. You may recognize some of these skill names though and to my opinion. Some of these skills are too cheap =\. This class are the 'dual wielders' and are capable of wielding 2 swords or axes, they have a similar build to infighters, damagewise, they are almost the same with different skills. Swashbucklers also rely on charges similar to crusaders in 3rd job however it is quite different. Crusaders gain combo counters slowly after every kill during a certain buff whereas raiders immediately gain all combo counters but slowly lose them overtime and it is further lost when certain skills are used.

Here it is! The Swashbuckler class branch!

Swashbuckler
Weapon Mastery
Increases the mastery and accuracy of the mainhand weapon. Similar to the 2nd Job Warriors Skill.

Offhand Mastery
Increases the mastery and accuracy of the offhand weapon.

Final Attack
Gives a chance of inflicting an extra attack after an attack. Similar to the 2nd Job Warriors Skill.

Weapon Booster
Boosts the attacking speed of the dual weapons. Similar to the 2nd Job Warriors Skill.

Dual Strike
Attacks twice with both weapons at once
 Spoiler

Lunge
Lunges forward damaging and stunning a mob.
 Spoiler

Whirlwind
An AoE ability that damages up to 3 mobs on both sides
 Spoiler

Raider
Charge
Charges up to six counters in one go. As long as the counters are active, the character gains a boost of weapon attack and accuracy. After a certain period of time, the Raidr loses one charge.
 Spoiler
1 charge is lost after every 80 seconds.

Dual Rend
Requires 1 on Charge.
Uses one counter to attack twice on up to four targets.
 Spoiler

Critical Blast
Requires 1 on Charge.
Use two counters to deal heavy damage to a single monster ignoring the enemys weapon defense.
 Spoiler

Eruption
Requires 1 on Charge.
Uses all the counters to deal massive AoE damage hitting up to 12 targets. Damage varies on the number of counters used up. Cooldown Time: 1 min
 Spoiler

Debilitate
Glares at nearby mobs reducing their weapon attack, weapon defense, magic attack and magic defense.
 Spoiler

Parley/Withdraw
An AoE ability that removes the mobs aggression towards you. Targets up to six mobs. (eg. On a Master Chronos if it’s attacking you, using this skill will stop the chronos from attacking you and will wander as if it was never provoked)
 Spoiler

Privateer
Advanced Charge Mastery
Requires MAXED points on Charge
Further increases the amount of counters that a character can carry.
 Spoiler

Charge Retain
Requires 15 points on Charge
A passive ability that has a chance that skills will not use up counters upon usage. Does not work with Eruption, Asura Strike or Sargasso.
 Spoiler

Air Cutter
Uses 1 combo counter to attack with a cutting missile from a range.
 Spoiler

Asura Strike
Uses all combo counters to deal a single powerful strike. Cooldown time: 1 min
 Spoiler

Vorpal Slash
Uses 2 combo counters to perform an assaulter like skill. Unlike assaulter however, it can be used anywhere acting similarily to teleport. Vorpal slash can hit up to 12 targets within range unlike assaulter.
 Spoiler

Sargasso
Uses all combo counters to deal heavy AoE damage by summoning a deadly vortex in the middle of a field. Cooldown: 5 mins.
 Spoiler

Critical Perception
A supportive skill that sharply increases the Privateers attack power for a short period of time. Lasts 1 minute, Cooldown: 5 mins.
 Spoiler

Coup De Grace
A passive skill that instantly kills any mob below 15% hp with a normal attack, Does not work on bosses.
 Spoiler

Just to let everyone know, my mapleaddition patch v0.6 will be releasing a whole new area full of excitement much like Masteria. It will be released VERY SOON with some images. Stay Tuned!

How much damage will it be? Explanation.

How much damage will the vortex do? Does it hurt bosses? More details please!

I like the effort you put into making these creations. Well done.

Final attack damage is similar to the 2nd job warriors one so I didn't think I should state it. (I'll write it up right now) and the Sargasso damage is already explained in the spoiler. +80% damage for every charge counter at max level the player has. In other words if you had like 12 counters, this attack will deal like 960% damage to all monsters nearby.

*Level 1: 1% chance of instant death below 15% hp
*Level 10: 5% chance of instant death below 15% hp
*Level 20: 10% chance of instant death below 15% hp
*Level 30: 16% chance of instant death below 15% hp
That will be a VERY interesting skill but useless skill.

How would it work? Someone walks into the map and kills 85% of the monster and suddenly it dies? Or if a monster has 15% left and you walk onto it, it dies? If it has 15% and you 1hit it?

Now I shall explain why it's useless. The highest nonboss mob we have right now is 84K hp. 15% of that is 12.6K, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want your class to be doing damage less than that, so you would be able to 1 hit the monster (with 15% hp) anyways. Why get another skill to do what you can already do?

Well it can be useful if you take a while to take down a certain monster. I should've rephrased this a bit clearer =S. If the monster is below 15% hp, one of your hits has a certain chance of KOing a monster, however seeing that most of your skills are high damage, this skill is almost rendered useless unless you do not want to waste too much Mp and start normally attacking it.
This skill is useful if you are taking a while to kill a single monster.
