This "MS 2.0" is nothing really...
#61
What they may release is not relevant to what this patch has released.
The complaints so far are regarding the issues that this patch itself has not specifically addressed.

No one has said they've done nothing. No one has said they won't do anything. But at this point what they have done, does not satisfy.

Technically, the new stuff is in the data, soon to be released. And as I said, don't expect to get a perfect game from scratch in a single patch. It's like asking repeteadly for a new game, and when shown footage of it, you say "It sucks hard. I can't control the character. Also, it doesn't show the hp bar. And it has a placeholder there". Well, of course, it's NOT finished! The part soon to come DOES play into the ecuation. All changes depend on it, too.

Nothing is guaranteed until it migrates from KMST to KMS. It could be changed a hundred thousand times before then, and if it's only in the data, not even made available yet, then it hasn't even started the tweaking process to eventually become available and isn't worth noting as anything more than a maybe.

You're too focused on trying to cheerlead a point no one has argued.
Every patch has pros and cons. There will always be gaps leftover and people who want to point those out.

Whining about the bad is just as legitimate as celebrating the good and neither is mutually exclusive.

Ah, but ignoring the good to come is just like ignoring things you already know.

In fact, stop thinking it's Nexon for a bit. Maybe it'll make you see things different.

I have no proof any good will come.
Nothing you've named in the pipeline remotely fulfills the 15x forward content gap of this game, especially not if their answer to that is re-leveling existing content that was already old and dull.

Ok, everything you want, but leveling EVERYTHING gives room to add monsters anywhere in those gaps, including... ANY level. That's an adressing for future additions, isn't it?

An opportunity for change isn't change itself, nor proof that change will come.
The universe is full of opportunity and potential and most of it goes untapped.

I think we'll just have to agree to disagree since we seem to just be going in circles here. You're a cup half full, and I'm a cup is approximately 50% occupied 50% potential sort of person.

If you're all so unsatisfied with these updates and most of you hate the game and company to begin with why are you still investing time into something that has no return on investment? It's baffling really, and if you're so concerned about the content of the game than why not fire an email over. I mean someone has to have Nexon's email address and someone who can translate.

Arroz, I think you have finally hit the nail on the head. Most of you whine and cry about "Ohnoes my favorite class isn't going to be good anymore! Nexon ruined it!" or "Everything is different, this game sucks now!". I have a really novel idea... how about if you don't like the way the game is going, you quit. If you have already, then I honestly don't see what good complaining to us is going to do. It isn't that mind-boggling.

Because Nexon doesn't listen, or react in a timely manner at the very least. regardless of which branch you deal with, what language you send it in or how many times you bring something up.
Believe it or not you're not the first person to have that idea. You might be the last remaining person who isn't aware of the futility of it though.

For those of us who've quit, Nexon keeps trying to "woo us back" except they're not actually doing anything that would motivate most us who're gone to come back because they don't listen to us on why we're gone.

If you're happy with the game, go enjoy it. Stop worrying about the people who have issues with it, because if they're not your issues you don't need to concern yourself with it.

This is all of you...just accept what's given and walk away. I quit for two years, went on with my life and now I'm back for a summer because the game piqued my interest. There is absolutely no obligation to stay. And referring to the futility of feedback, there is still a better chance of getting something done than whining to your peers.

Okay, honestly, you're a little dumb for quoting that. Most of the people who bash Nexon on these forums don't even play the game anymore so they would not fall under fan dumb.

Stating a fact is not whining.
Those who have stated that this 2.0 series of changes have not piqued their interest, not addressed their issues, or not made the game suddenly worth playing again for them have a legitimate viewpoint. They're sharing their perspective and are not under any obligation to agree with your own viewpoint on the matter.

One of the general rules of this site is to attack an idea, not the person, so if you're going to resort to name calling people rather than actually justifying your position you're going to begin recieving infractions.

And you need to behave too. We don't need more name calling.

I apologize if I came off as too demeaning or belittling. And yes, I have heard of the phrase "you can't please everyone all of the time", and apparently one of the people Nexon isn't pleasing is you. They put out an update, and obviously they couldn't please everyone. Maybe when gMS puts out the Chaos Bosses, you might be content with that temporarily. I'm not you though, so I wouldn't know, and I'm not going to pretend I do.

I would suggest leveling a new character (might I add that one of the goals of Nexon is to have you make new classes to re-experience content.), but it seems that you already have your mind set on staying with your level 200. I'm really sorry to break it to you, but that really is Nexon's mindset right now. They want you to level new characters, they want you to get a new feel for a different class. I'm sure that by the time you got that new character that you enjoy playing to 15X, Nexon will have released new content for that level range. Alloy even stated himself that it's really apparent that they rearranged the level ranges of the areas so that they could more easily include content and make it flow better.

It's all about perspective, and mine is quite different from most players.
I actually have over thirty characters spread out among some 17 or so accounts, many of which are in the 100s, most of which got there before XP curve even came out. Now days you can easily get a character in the 100s in a week, making the concept of them releasing 15x content by the time I get a character there pretty laughable - They certainly haven't done it for the three I have in that range now.

I've literally been over every inch of the game nearly every conceivable way. Very little is going to motivate me to do it all again and I'm just being honest about it. Not everyone is in my situation and has plumbed the depths of boredom as thoroughly on this game but they still have their own reasons or threads like this wouldn't exist.

When sweeping new things come out people get excited, hoping to find changes that will reawaken their interest, and inevitibly some people are let down and want to talk about it. That doesn't make them whiny, or stupid or impossible to please, it just means they're human. Other people find exactly what they want and start long flowing threads about how wonderful it will be - The difference is those people don't get dogpiled randomly for having an opinion (usually).

I have to agree. But putting the cup below a faucet HAS to mean something. So ignoring THAT is as dumb as considering EVERYTHING is possible.

Not if the faucet is never turned on, not if the faucet simply doesn't work, not if the cup has a hole in it or a lid on it. I'm a pragmatist. Intent means less (to me) than action and the details matter.

Well, they have been filling the cup until now, and the content they have been developing is not going to be unused...

I simply think you are thinking like this because it's Nexon. And sure, they made stupid things, but they are working to fix precisely those things. And intent means nothing. Indeed. But there's more than intent here, like already made art, graphics, and game mechanics.

You keep saying that but you've given no proof it's applicable to my stated issues regarding content. All content is not created equal after all, and content that's not implemented isn't created at all.

It is created, just not implemented. In fact, KMST isn't implemented yet, therefore, not created, right?
