About glitched skill
#1
Just saw a reply of NXPEPE

NXPEPE Wrote:Thank you for your report Andre. We have confirmed the glitch with Transform Skill, and will be fixing it on the next update.

Update: These two skills have been confirmed as a bug, and will be resolved in the next update. We apologize for the inconvenience.

-Thieves Skill: Shadower skill "Boomerang Step"; delay after using this skill decreased.

-Pirates Skill: - While using Buccanear skill "Transform", can use all skills except for "Oak Barrel," "Double Fire," "Demolition" and "Snatch".

All right, maybe Nexon is getting faster at fixing glitches with classes' skills!

Their response is certainly more encouraging than the one to the old archer d/c glitch... Goggleemoticon

Wow, they're really going to let Buccaneers of GMS have NO DELAY for an entire patch time, allowing them to level up too insanely fast? That's just not fair to the other classes...

Buccs really can't train as it is. Too much NoDelay causes the player to d/c. It's an untrainable environment.

It's incredibly hard to not DC very quickly, and a DC causes them to lose transform and have to wait out the cooldown, which =/= fast training.

We can still train, it's just training while Transformed is just as useless as before. The only REAL benefit to the "bug" is to macro Barrage and Demo and rape bosses with it.

NXPEPE also answered my post on the Nexon Bug Report forum! Big Grin
NXPEPE Wrote:We have confirmed that is not working. This should be fixed in the next update.

Next patch.... Hmmm the question is, is Nexon going to wait till the event is over (mid june :o), or will they have a mini-patch to fix Shadowers/Marauders/Buccaneers. Smile

As nice as the confirmed delay reduction is...I tested out a few uncharged Assassinates...and it's definitely bugged. o_o

According to Fiel's formula, a critical should always reduce Assassinate's damage from its effective range at every level below 21...mine's level 12 yet...

 Awesome and epic :3

Sometimes I hit like 5k with a critical...and at other times I hit 4k in one of the first 3 hits. xD

I haven't seen a 3k critical yet I've seen a few 11k+ criticals.

Well Assassinate is like this (max lvl30):
- 3 Normal hits (600% damage) - 55% mastery
- 1 Critical hit (90% chance though - 850% damage) - 55% mastery

Lets say your range is 2500~4000 and lets take the max damage from that one:
- Lowest damage on 1st 3 hits: 6*2500 = 15.000
- Highest damage on 1st 3 hits: 6*4000 = 24.000

- Lowest damage on 4th hit: 8.5*2500 = 21.250
- Highest damage on 4th hit: 8.5*4000 = 34.000

So it's possible to get:
24.000
24.000
24.000

21.250 - Critical is lower then normal non-critical damage...

But it's also possible to get:

15.000
15.000
15.000

34.000 - Critical is more then 2x as high as normal non-critical damage...

The skill is not bugged in the way you describe, although it -is- bugged in 2 other ways:
- Charging it lowers it's DPS (what's the use of charging up then, except for superwdefs?)
- First 3 hits never critical, even with max Sharp Eyes buff...

Which makes me come to the conclusion that Assassinate is more complex than I thought because...

Level 12 Assassinate ---> Clean Maximum x Damage % ---> 3073 x 380% = 11,677.4
Fiel Wrote:Here's the formula for crits:

DAMAGE_RANGE * ((CRIT_VALUE_IN_STRING - 100) / 100)

(11677.4 * ((160 - 100) / 100)
(11677.4 * (60) / 100)
(11677.4 * .60)
7006.44 crit damage

Yet that particular critical is 3346.56 higher than the estimated critical damage according to this formula. o.O

I also noticed the DPS decrease and the SE issue before...it would be nice to see those fixed. xD

Wow I never saw that post before... interesting!

But I always assumed Assassinate worked like this (max lvl30):
- Hit 1: (Base damage x 6) x ((Seconds in Dark Sight / 3)+1) ----- With a maximum of 12 seconds in Dark Sight & Charge numbers get rounded DOWN (aka 2.99 = 2)
- Hit 2: (Base damage x 6) x ((Seconds in Dark Sight / 3)+1) ----- With a maximum of 12 seconds in Dark Sight & Charge numbers get rounded DOWN (aka 2.99 = 2)
- Hit 3: (Base damage x 6) x ((Seconds in Dark Sight / 3)+1) ----- With a maximum of 12 seconds in Dark Sight & Charge numbers get rounded DOWN (aka 2.99 = 2)

- Hit 4: ((Base damage x 6) + (Base damage x 2.5 (90% chance))) x ((Seconds in Dark Sight / 3)+1) ----- With a maximum of 12 seconds in Dark Sight & Charge numbers get rounded DOWN (aka 2.99 = 2)
- Hit 4 (With SE): ((Base damage x 6) + (Base damage x 3.9 (100% chance))) x ((Seconds in Dark Sight / 3)+1) ----- With a maximum of 12 seconds in Dark Sight & Charge numbers get rounded DOWN (aka 2.99 = 2)

Devil, I can't believe you still think a 18 second charged Assassinate should do more DPS than spamming it. Do you realize how little sense that makes, and what kind of numbers you'd have to be hitting for that to happen? You're not charging the skill, the extra damage is just to make up for the potential damage lost while in Dark Sight. Shadowers are meant to be a fast-paced, melee, comboing class. Assassinate's charge up mechanism is not made to reward standing still in Dark Sight for an extended period of time, you're still encouraged to move on and keep attacking as soon as possible.

As for the first 3 hits not procing crit, I assume that's intended. Sniper's Blizzard doesn't crit with SE either.

If Assassinate's damage formula isn't what Fiel posted, though, I may have to revise my calculations.

Would probably still be less then a NL and a BM, with significantly more risk.

god dayum, Corsair just told the Shadower how to play his own class.
Well, Dusk, you saved me the trouble.

Well, according to some of the Buccaneers on lolBasil, they've been training all weekend with the Transformation bug and not d/cing at all. One of them even went from 14x to 16x within a day (even their basil ID, which is attached directly to the rankings, went up along with it).
