I wish I could understand Japanese

Hahahahahaha, you actually made me chuckle a little.

But I am a little serious. It's been 3 years since I put anything serious into learning Japanese yet I can still understand just about anything I come across.

Just one of those things my brain doesn't let go. Which is odd since I have forgotten any and all shock images I've seen over the years. But I rather forget Spanish before Japanese, and then maybe English just for s'hits and giggles.

Maybe you were just going about learning it the wrong way? What'd you use to learn? If you say Rosetta stone I'm going to kill you, because that's a piece of junk and should only be used when you've understood the language a bit. Even then, you're using it more as a review and learning how to slowly build up sentences yourself rather than just learning from it by scratch.

I wish I could understand Japanese as well so I could import games instead of waiting 6+ months for them. (I'm looking at you Pokemon Soul Silver, Blazblue Portable, and Blazblue Continuum Shift).
