As long as I keep my witch chair(and level 50 I had to rush to for it) on my CB remake, I'm good.
I hit 50 around 2:13 AM, so I should be safe. If not, L>event extension.

IllegallySane Wrote:I sense a pattern here: quit the game or take it REALLY easy whenever meso exploits come out because you should always expect a rollback. Losing progress is always a pain in the ass so why not avoid risking a loss altogether?

I think most people know this already.
Kradia was empty yesterday. Emptier than usual. Everybody stopped playing as soon as they heard the rumors of rollback.
No one in FM, no one at bigfoot, the only people on bl are those trying to evade rollback by dueying their stuff all over the place (huh?).
I was bored enough to stay online to warn any alliance newbies logging in about the exploit, and to cook a dozen stews and kill a half dozen kacchuu mushas, but I knew I wouldn't get to keep either stews or exp.

P.S. I wonder whether they'll extend the Halloween events or the Vega sale.

I didn't bother to play within the last 3 days because I caught the info from the forever-hacker douchbag richcuddling's boasting in fm on how he was going to make 10bil.

What I like about this:

- They addressed it without having to give us a lame nx slogan.
- and all the basil-noobs are uproaring! Big Grin

Maybe you'll get a 3-line 150+ attack one this time! I kind of wished I logged on and played with potential scrolls.

Dagger was too weird to exist anyway... it gained +18 from enhancements somehow.

You heard it here first, folks. Enhancements are affected by the number of mesos circulating the economy.

Nov 8th 3 pm is around when it went viral but is still not far enough to cover everything.
In Scania, the exploiters were being smart by choosing not to "abuse" it and slowly buying out the FM making it seem like it was a inflation plot. This happened around last week.

Wait what? Your dagger was 135 (+2 30%, 4 enhance). 135-(4x3)=123. 123-(2x5)=113 base. What do you mean +18?

Going back a week would be too devastating for too many innocent maplers.
Better to let the cautious exploiters keep their illicit gains, imho.
Hacks and exploits will always exist, but as long as they don't seriously damage the economy, drastic measures such as rollbacks should not be used.
(But if Nexon can go back and find the people who were using this a week back, and ban them and all their alternate accounts, all the better).

Nexon brown nosers and apologists fought with tooth and nail that this wasn't going to happen. Then they decided to simply post the link to -Hime-'s thread regarding rollback "FUD". Now, they're doing damage control, such as "it was a decent rollback".

You're forgetting the people who think Nexon is a beyond horrible company and wouldn't give a damn and therefore wouldn't do a rollback.

Last time after the hellbanning, there was another exploit lol. It allowed hellbanned characters to dupe items as often as they wanted because upon logging off, they were rolledback. People got away with this because there was no rollback to fix the rollback glitch lul. I'm guessing either a double rollback isn't possible or Nexon just said "screw it".
