Has anybody drank tea that was inside a wooden-cup?

I believe the cup clay covered in lacquer? And I know some cups are made from Bamboo.
I'm going to take a hot guess and say the taste is more of the affect of matcha powder instead of the cup if it's like the one in the picture.
The closest thing I know of the container or pot affecting the taste of tea is Purple Clay pots, I know very little about such pots though.
