Yeah... I keep running into the disconnecting problem on Windows 7 and I can't even dual boot, since HP doesn't release XP drivers for my laptop. >_>
To fix the disconnect problem (not really a fix), change your graphics settings EVERY SINGLE TIME a part of a boss dies. You might want to change it twice. From lowest to highest back to lowest.
At Horntail I did :
Left head :
Change graphics settings to high
-head spawns-
change graphics settings to low
-head dies-
change graphics settings to high
-enter next room-
set graphics settings to low then high
-right head spawns-
set graphics settings to low
-head dies-
set graphics settings to high
-enter main room-
set graphics to low then high
-Horntail body spawns-
set graphics to low
-Feet Die-
Set graphics to high and then low
-tail dies-
set graphics settings to high and low
-wings die-
set graphics settings to high and low
so on and so forth. I managed to get through an entire HT run that way on Windows 7. It's annoying to keep doing it, but it's worth it.
