Windows 7 + Bossing? - MariettaRC - 2010-01-11 So I'm FINALLY getting a new laptop this week and I'm getting a laptop with Windows 7 but I really want to know. Are there any issues with Windows 7 and bossing on Maple? Like how Vista users DC on Zak's third body, which I already do now. >_> Windows 7 + Bossing? - Tikey - 2010-01-11 The issues from Windows Vista are still present in Windows 7. Windows 7 + Bossing? - Takebacker - 2010-01-11 Think of 7 as vista with a lighter feel. Most bugs in vista exist in 7. (in terms of maple) Apparently korea is completely changing their code so it runs best on vista/7 in the summer though, so i wouldn't worry about it too much. Windows 7 + Bossing? - Corn - 2010-01-11 I thought Service Pack 1 for Vista fixed the Zakum glitch error, though. Windows 7 + Bossing? - Worthyness - 2010-01-12 I zak'd fine with my desktop. Laptops are usually a lot more laggy for me, so i'd expect a DC with bossing. Windows 7 + Bossing? - Jedward - 2010-01-12 I don't know how Balrog PQ compares to other bosses, but I got slight lag on Windows 7 there. No DCs at all. Windows 7 + Bossing? - Link - 2010-01-12 Yeah... I keep running into the disconnecting problem on Windows 7 and I can't even dual boot, since HP doesn't release XP drivers for my laptop. >_> To fix the disconnect problem (not really a fix), change your graphics settings EVERY SINGLE TIME a part of a boss dies. You might want to change it twice. From lowest to highest back to lowest. At Horntail I did : Left head : Change graphics settings to high -head spawns- change graphics settings to low -head dies- change graphics settings to high -enter next room- set graphics settings to low then high -right head spawns- set graphics settings to low -head dies- set graphics settings to high -enter main room- set graphics to low then high -Horntail body spawns- set graphics to low -Feet Die- Set graphics to high and then low -tail dies- set graphics settings to high and low -wings die- set graphics settings to high and low so on and so forth. I managed to get through an entire HT run that way on Windows 7. It's annoying to keep doing it, but it's worth it. Windows 7 + Bossing? - XTOTHEL - 2010-01-12 IMO it's nothing wrong with Windows 7. Seems that most cases where the DC happens at bosses, the computer has a Nvidia graphics card. I D/C on my home computer (Nvidia), and I boss without a problem at work (ATI). Both computers are running windows 7 x64. Windows 7 + Bossing? - TKWizard - 2010-01-12 XTOTHEL Wrote:IMO it's nothing wrong with Windows 7.
