School is not about rights, it's about education.

Which we really don't have much of in America at this point. lol The American Educational System has become more about restricting kids to a legal point as far as they can. Our educational system is beyond screwed up and failure rates have been upped a lot in the past decade due to teachers and faculty only caring about the punishing of students rather than the students getting a really good quality of education. There may be some schools out there that actually give good education (probably only private schools), but for the most part, school is about restricting kids' abilities and mental maturity. This paper that this kid is sending in to his class PROBABLY won't put him in a bad spot, but if the teacher is a bad one, they might try pulling something stupid.
