Nexon has been completely negligent regarding their website for years now and that was forgivable when they were just inconveniencing people, but now their negligence is causing potential harm and they need to be held accountable, just like you would be if, in your example, you knock into someone and they ended up busting their tooth as a result of your negligence (not watching where you're going).
What I don't get is why you and others feel the need to valiantly stand up for Nexon like they're some sort of underdog or your kid brother who doesn't know any better. They're a big greedy corporation who treats their customers poorly, have almost no accountability for anything they do wrong, and constantly DO wrong. They don't need your protection or your back up or your words of kindness. They'd be treated better if they had a better business model. They need to step up, and you coddling them like they're super fragile only reinforces their negative actions.
I do think they need to up their game a little, but NOT busting Nexon's balls doesn't exactly mean 'coddling'.
They should have caught on sooner, but I don't think they expected hackers to put java programs into avatars and pictures.
