Inbreeding is the only way to get a golden chocobo, as per vgcats.

The only thing I see wrong with it is that inbreeding will cause certain traits to come about, maybe be good, or usually is bad.

Inbreeding doesn't cause good traits. Only bad ones. I'm not quite sure how to explain it, but it has to do with recessive genes.
Normal breeding is what causes good/bad traits

I wouldn't do it myself, but if someone else does, I don't really care. What really bugs me is the whole genetic thing and higher probability of attaining recessive characteristics.

So in a sense, it's good that at least it's considered a moral taboo by some people out there, for the sake of the human kind. Imagine if this was actually enforced culturally, and not otherwise. I'd have been born...well, special.

Second cousin or farther = safe as far as defects go. Unless their grandparents were twins or something, but let's not go there.

But aside from the fact that I don't know any of my second cousins, am rather distant from my first cousins, and seven years older than my sister, I still personally wouldn't do it. It'd feel too awkward.

I think it's kinda weird for incest to happen, but whatever floats their boat right?

LOL i don't have to worry about this cause i have like 1 or 2 girl cousins (that are a lot younger than i am) and the rest are boys =O
