Dual Blade Skills and Overview - potspans123 - 2010-06-28

Note: This guide was made before the release of Dual Blades in gMS

What is a Dual Blade?
The new class Dual Blade is basically the newest branch of the thief class. So, it’s an adventurer but a little different. All you need to know for now is that it has five job advancements, and its one of the options you get after becoming a rogue.

The Story:
The previous Dark Lord had a student named Jin and a daughter, Sulhee.
Basically what happened was that the friend of the previous Dark Lord, Tristan, requested help to kill Balrog.
Unfortunately, Dark Lord got turned into a monster by Balrog and his student Jin had to kill Dark Lord because he was attacking Kerning City.
The daughter of the previous Dark Lord, Sulhee, saw the dead body of her father brought by Jin.
She thought that Jin framed him and killed him because of his position. (Although, she loved Jin, but she is stupid and thinks that way)
So Jin became the next Dark Lord and Sulhee created a secret dark organization to go against Jin.
Now the rogues are disappearing from Kerning City by Sulhee’s command to recruit them to Dual Blade to fight against Jin.

Weapons:
Dual Blade’s use daggers and blades. The daggers are the same as a bandit would use. So, imagine the Shield spot in your equipment window. That section is now a place where you can put your Blades. A blade is just your normal weapon, nothing special. The only part about Dual Blader’s that is different from any other adventurer is their Attack range. From what I read, the dagger and the blade both have wep. att. So, to make the game fair, half of your attacks will be made with the dagger, and the other half is with your blade. There is no extra skill keys to press or switching your weapons, the game does that for your automatically.

Armor:
The armor for the Dual Blade is the same as a rouge because, once again they are technically rouges.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:
Fast Attacking and moving
Strong One-on-One killing
Fairly good mobbers
Cool skills

Cons:
In my opinion the cost of buying blades AND daggers might be a little expensive.
They have low health.
People might hate you because most maplers hate new classes for some reason
You have to buy some of your important skills from mastery book in the cash shop
They are going to be very popular and not very unique at first.

(Post what else you think about the pros and cons)

Summary:
The Dual Blade class is a fast, cool, and fun class. It has flashy skills and can mob very well. Strong and good damage, they look amazing! The five job advancements make you want to keep playing and not be so bored leveling and not getting new skills. If you like the Melee type but want to be faster this is the class for you. I don’t suggest this class to beginning players because they can be a little expensive (because of their low HP and two weapons). Ugh they are strong right from the start. People who can’t get NX Cash might not want this class, but it is playable without buying the mastery books. I’m not exactly sure about the whole mastery book thing, but all I know is that you buy mastery books from the Cash Shop and you can put more SP on that skill. I would assume that the skill would last forever once you buy it but then again, I’m not sure. (Answer this for me in a comment)

Notes:
-This guide was made before I had played the actual character and it is based on other people’s opinions and my own research.

-Please don’t be like OH! I HATE THIS CLASS blah blah blah i don’t think anyone cares and its not helpful. Also, I’m not saying this is the best class or anything, this is just for people who are interested. If you want to rant about this new class go tell Nexon or another Forum. xD
