So i've done with all the commerci quests beside those of the party one one and I wwant to know:
1. How i can get the sweetwater set?
2. Can i transform the commerci set into the sweetwater set?
3. Which NPC do i have to talk to obtain the sweetwater set?
1. Go on a trade voyage and kill Grosso Polpo (Octopus) and Livyatan (Dragon). These two drop the equips. They start spawning in Rosa, the third trade destination that you unlock. This means it'll take a minimum of three days of doing trade voyages just to unlock the necessary trade destinations for the equips.Quote:

Well seeing as my guildy and I have been doing this, I can answer these through experience.
As it stands we haven't be en able to get the upgrade npc to speak to us, even though we have sweet water gear. The fuel refreshes daily, I guess to prevent people from doing it unlimited as Gollux originally was. It takes 3 days minimum to get to the 3rd route, which is where the first boss will start to spawn. What we are trying to do next is get the boss to drop the anvil to upgrade since the npc itself isn't working, that is the only other option for upgrading.
Does leveling the boat go faster at the harder destinations? I eliminated 93 monsters on the Luna route and still only got 300 exp, same as Dolce.
And is there a boat exp chart? It's sorta looking like it'll take a few months grinding to even get the first boat upgrade.
The number of monsters you defeat determines the amount of EXP your character gets, not your boat. It's actually a nice way to get some EXP, as I was getting 1.7m-1.9m exp per trade.Quote:

Well, it's nice that there isn't a massive curve. And the EXP you get per trade for your boat's obviously gotta go up, but it's still going to take some time to level the boat up depending on when and how much the EXP goes up per trade.

1.Sweetwater Set is Untradeable once equip but can you psok it after equip? or it perm untradeable once equip?
2.Upgrading to Sweetwater SET from old equip once upgrade it untradeable and you psok it later or it perm untradeable?
For now, you can never trade Sweetwater equips after they've become untradeable.
Since this seems like the thread for it...
I'm getting 180 exp from Dolce and 420 exp from Rosa with my level 3 boat. Iirc Luna was 300 but I haven't done it in a few days. So I guess the lower number of runs compensates for the higher exp:
10x180 = 1800 exp
8x300 = 2400 exp
6x420 = 2520 exp (+180 from a Dolce run since that only spends 90 = 2700)
Hopefully Herb Town's worth a decent amount since you can only do 4 runs a day.
Should create a thread/guide specifically for voyages/trading etc as we continue to learn more.
You get 900 exp from herb, also don't know if it was just due to RNG or what but on my second run there I kept my distance from livyatan and it only used the superknock back so it didn't get the glitchy hit box, sadly my subpar range didn't even scratch it.Quote:

It's admittedly only geared to a 45k range out of a fully-equipped 150k (thanks Zero for borrowing the equips) but that seems unlikely to actually matter here. Likewise the 15% extra boss damage from that one link skill.. not actually gonna make the difference.
Also couldn't use my better DPS skills cause of his super KB interacting badly with them; Sanrenzen has near 100% invincibility frames so I stuck to that.
Anyone seen signs of the 'personal items' that supposedly drop? When I delivered the quest item to Herb Town it was just in the purchase item group.
I managed to beat all 4 Livyathans today, he seems to have a higher drop rate for cubic blades than Polpo. Didn't get any sweetwaters from them though :f4:
I'm finding it very hard to get any sweetwater items so far, i've been doing the quests since day one, so i'm about 8 or so voyages on herbtown done as of today's set of runs. I go on other forums and see people talking about getting items but the only thing i've gotten are chaos cubic blades (5 so far enough to make a cube if i get enough S item crystals), S item crystals, cube frags and cubic blades.
I'm starting to wonder if it is because of my level or something, i'm level 204, though i doubt it because the mobs are fixed to your level (maybe not so for the bosses?). As for the hp of the bosses i guess it's not a problem for my phantom as i have 400k range with 152% pdr and 97% boss, it takes me about 2 seconds to kill grosso and a good 10-20 ses (not sure) for livyathan using blaster combo of course. That should give you an idea of how tough livya is.
Definitely not your level. My 203 (now 204) Angelic Buster has gotten 4 Sweetwater weapons so far.Quote:

I got an item from Grosso Polpo called a Treasure Map. When I talked to the NPC, she gave it to me and in the chat box it said I got it in my setup tab, but it's nowhere to be found :f6:
Anyone have any clue what this is?
Nevermind. Figured it out. It shows up in the trade UI and gives you +30 gold on your next voyage!

O.o I got it to hit at a very high angle too(kinda funny looking), pretty much the only time it doesn't hit is with the lowest angle and the magic arrows seems to not care about range just what you're hitting and I figure it out thanks to DI.Quote:

The trip to Rien Harbor has a second Grosso Polpo with a reddish hue. I think it has more HP than Livy. It is also very fond of stunning.
Anyway, 3 chances to get SW stuff on that route.
The first Grosso Polpo has 86m, first Livyatan has 1.05b, second Grosso Polpo has 1.3b, second Livyatan has 1.85b, according to the extraction.
I assume the 4th guy only shows up when you finally make it to Lith Harbor.
Hell of a curve there too >_> 12 times as much hp, then 1.25 times as much, then 1.42 times as much as the previous bosses.
If you do get extra time to kill the higher-HP versions, though, then it's not so bad. If you can kill the first Livyatan you should be able to kill the other two as well.Quote:

C. "Do I have all the pieces of the Sweetwater Set and do I want the Set Effect now?" Basically, the YOLO question. If you are content with some end result like +5 ATT from Chaos or something like that then have at it, be the spiffy pirate that you are and equip the set.
Hey! What about all that Denaro I am going to waste trying to transpose it?! Well, to me Denaro is an "infinite" resource and it isn't that difficult to get more, one merely needs to be diligent, Sweetwater Equips are, by comparison, significantly more "finite," the mesos to buy a new one are harder to get, getting the equip from bossing is even harder yet. Sweetwater Equips are endgame to me so I will have patience in scrolling them exactly how I want them, or at least to a point where I am not annoyed looking at it.
TL;DR: If you are aiming from some particular stats (e.g. +10 ATT from Chaos) you are probably better off buying Empress to scroll and fuse failures for more things to scroll. If you don't care, scroll the Sweetwater Equip as is. If you have patience and this is truly your endgame, diligently try to transpose, if not, scroll it as is and hope for the best.
@Chilly; Thanks. I think I will probably leave the SW set alone for now, and wait to see If I can get a scroll to turn the Zero weapon into a SW one. I already have RA top/bottom/hat That I'm planning on Pscrolling, So i'll leave the SW aside for now. Not sure if I should do RA top/bottom and drop the RA hat for a SW one if I can't get a SW scroll.
Question though, have you two been getting drops since the nerf or did you have said gear prior to it?
transposing off to a bad start already:
1. psoked my cape to give to my friend
2. he transposes on first try.
3. he forgot to psok the cape beforehand.
4. heartbreak.
right after this i transposed my gloves and got them to work on the first try.
i dont know what is going on but im still at a loss.

Unless someone has experience otherwise, I'm fairly sure tradability only applies to weapons (primary weapons, this means katara doesn't count) whether it was PSoked before or didn't need to at all. I remember somebody else saying he/she tried to PSoK a glove and it just turned to untradable immediately. So basically any armors will automatically become untradable once you transpose it.Quote:
