Not really, just don't sit around in the battleship and it won't get hit. Get off it while you wait for more spawn. I didn't start maxing Battleship until 160 or so and I don't think I'll ever have it maxed now.

I've got one for all you Brawlers out there. Where should a level 58 Brawler train? Thanksss :glitter::glitter::glitter::glitter::glitter::glit ter:

Well, I've had some motivation problem ever since I've gotten to corsair.
I advanced before the cannon glitch, hence I can use battleship cannon. The problem is, I've put myself into some sort of an illusion that it's all going to be good once i'm 123. Well, now I'm 123, and it's not all good. Maybe my damage is now decent, but for a mere 30 seconds on bosses, and a little more when I train, since newtie mid platform isn't good anymore (I don't even need to freeze 1st two, i kill them too fast.)
So how the hell am I supposed to continue training for 10 more hell levels till I max battleship, and even then I might not see the benefits of being a corsair?
and getting hacked doesn't help motivation either :f7:
Don't even talk about bosses at your level. There's not much you can do except let the boat break after 10 seconds.
For training, I had 1 point in Torpedo (it's stronger than Cannon on 3 targets until Cannon is 11) and planted myself at the bottom right of Newties: next to the wall. I froze and used Torpedo on the three Newties to my left (don't even bother with the fourth one), and dismounted my boat when I was about to get hit. Even at level 125, I could get the boat to last a half-hour. One incredibly helpful thing is to always have someone in the map. Newties don't hit you as immediately with their attacks when someone else is in the map; I guess it screws up their aggro or something. I personally had someone to train with and HS mules the entire time, so that sped up my training quite a bit. I didn't get 11 Cannon until 130, so I think you can manage like that, but party members are helpful for both exp rate and motivation.
You can contact me in-game if you want~
I was in your shoes, just keep your head up. Bosses... Don't even bother with them now. Personally, I had lvl 12 cannon at 125, and it makes a big difference. So much, I was able to move over to peak, freezing mobs and killing one by one. Like Kaida said; Train in parites or with an HS mule. Training goes alot smoother, you take less damage, gain more exp, and ship barely breaks, solong as you dismount when you have to. Lvl one Ship should last you atleast 15 - 30 minuets just about anywhere you train.
does lvling battle ship still make the wait time longer?
when should i cap my STR?
A friend of mine is 4 levels away from becoming a Buccaneer. He would like to know if maxing Dash is a good idea instead of dumping the remaining points in failwave. He is already maxing Oak Barrel with some of failwave's SP and he has 12 leftover. Is max Dash still considered "bad" for Buccaneers?
I use dash all the time a-@
It may help to know what skills he has for the last advances.
I personally don't think Dash has any uses at all for Buccs, since charging Corkscrew Blow is usually a better option. They also have max speed a large amount of the time with Transforms anyway. I'd say just throw them into Shockwave to rot. As a Corsair, you should know that casting Dash makes your autopot fail and doesn't allow you to use any other skills for the .3 seconds you're using it. I think it would end up being a hinderence and nothing else, so better to chuck the points elsewhere.
Disclaimer: I am not a Bucc, so the above is conjecture based on what I know.
Dash was never not beneficial to me as a Corsair. I don't think it's detrimental in any way, but Buccs probably don't have much of a need for it for the above mentioned reasons. It may come in handy, though, so why not max it? No downsides.
AT what level does Cooling effect's freeze last longer than blank shot's stun?
AT what level does Cooling effect out damage blank shot?
How in the world am I gonna fit all these new skills on my keyboard?
Does a hog pay for its 20m cost eventually? (by saving you MP pots for transportation via recoil wings? I travel alot with them)
i can't answer corsair questions since I'm not a corsair, but finding keys shouldn't be too much of a problem. A buccaneer has the same amount, if not more keys than a corsair, and i can manage just fine (except i'm still short ona few keys since i haven't added energy orb or snatch to the keyboard yet.)
Hog for a corsair imo is worthless unless you get one for the looks. the MP cost is minimal and the fact that wings + recoil is a hell of a lot faster than a mount should make the skills outweigh the mount in terms of transportation usefulness.
Essentially Level 21 Cooling is far superior to Blank because it hits 5 and freezes, which can't be undone by summons.
I use keys close to ctrl and shift, burst on ctrl cooling on shift, then utilize a,x,c,b,d, and t if necessary. You get used to it over time.
No, Corsairs are a mobile class and a mount serves no purpose other than showing off.
I have a question about Bullseye in 4th job. When it is maxed, it is +20% damage to each bullet, or 5%?
