What about regular bossing e.g. Zak
I tend to use legendary spear and then ishtar ring until the debuff is gone. Is that the most optimal way to boss, or should I throw unicorn in there somewhere

It's only useful if you're not using Ishtar, like vs Arms or whatever, BUT YOU REALLY SHOULD BE STANDING IN THE MIDDLE AND USING LEAP TORNADO TO HIT THOSE ANYWAYS

LOOK AT THIS MOTHERF`UCKER.
@Locked + JoeTang: Still confused. Lets just say it's tonosama so it's only 1v1. Should it be legendary spear --> unicorn --> ishtar, then use unicorn and spear when appropriate? Or should i just not use unicorn at all.
When it's Zakum's Body that's what I tend to do...I try saving Spear for when he summons mobs to get them out of the way b/c lvl 1 Spear only decreases the def by 1% so really at that level it's only being thrown out there for the damage it deals.
I'm going to try the Leap Tornado tactic tomorrow and see if it shaves any time off my runs...what I do now is similar to what that guy in the video does only after Unicorn i tend to just spam out Stunning Strikes until the bottom 3 left arms all die, then ishtar the top right, then same scenario on the left...but by the looks of it leap tornado in the middle might be a better idea (or at least it will be once the Legendary tier comes out for items).
for the build i find Maxing Warding better than dual mastery. Because even though mastery adds more damage(though just alittle bit). Warding also provides a large upgrade (and only in 4th) for defence.
Just my 2 cents
Sorry, I know it's been a few days since you posted but I felt you deserved an answer if you didn't figure one out already lmao...
...yes Unicorn Spike is good to use vs multiple boss monster parts so long as you're planning to use stunning strikes after you use Unicorn Spike
I haven't started legendary cubing my gear yet, but I find that Spikes Royale>>>Unicorn Spike>>>Stunning Strikes is a nice combo to use at HT if you're not comfortable or not ready to jump around and use Tornado. I did start doing Spikes Royale into Tornado on Zakum Arms and found it's a lot of fun and much more effective, but I probably won't start fiddling around with doing that at HT until I'm 200 (just a comfort level for me is all).
Either way whatever you decide to do, have fun with it...though most of the combos are the same, the fact that there are so many different approaches with them is why I like this class so much :)
Ive had various opinions about this, But i'd like to ask you guys,
Which is more effective on large mobs at LHC, Stunning Strikes or Rush+Moonsault+Double Leaf Tornado? Ive had people tell me each is better, But i dont know because of the varying speed/damage of the two.
got a modified skill build for a Mercedes with Decent Combat Orders?
I wanna max my gust dive.
just need to know which three 3rd job skills you recommend be at lvl 19 since I need to move 3 points
your choice apart from leaf tornado, stunning strikes, and (i think) ignis lore
aka... whatever you dont have to max to meet requirements for 4th job skills
also, cant use CO in pvp -> make sure the last level doesnt really matter
oh right pvp... got a list of the pvp mercedes skill levels anywhere?
I max gust drive. Barrage at lvl 11. Then saw that barrage also increase rising rush >.<. but when your thinking about maxing something with combat orders. You just follow this though process.
1) Nothing should go below the level its required by another skill
2)Combat orders is a buff and i Buff before attacking. So anything that is an attacking skill or ONLY adds to damage (i.e mastery) should be taken out first.
3)Passive defence/Hp skills should NEVER be taken out of. Dispel anyone?
that and you should be good. And i think that leaves all attacking skills and damage buffs except stunning strikes. <- really that was the only skill In 3rd job I didnt want to max.
