What's the reasoning behind getting 11 IR -> Defense Break -> finishing up IR?
Skill layout
Spoiler
x is gust dive, d is leaf tornado. Laptop keyboard.
Put ishtar somewhere when bossing ( I put it on ctrl).
Also, wondering just how useful is maxed unicorn. I tend to use it at monster park, but I really don't see how useful the debuff is. I even considered using the hot time skill reset to max gust dive instead of unicorn because I use dive a whole lot more when training. -_-;
?
If you mean how and why I use dive, I use it with charge -> moonsault -> tornado (optional) ->dive -> charge for the invincibility.
If you mean why I would sacrifice unicorn, well, don't know yet. Trying to find out how much of an impact maxed unicorn haves on bossing/training. I know +30% for a filler skill is not much, but it's better than spending the points on a skill that I never seem to use.
@ CrazyForDex: Hmm, I've yet to go to LHC but I'll give it a try when I go there.
I have a few questions concerning Unicorn Spike:
1. Exactly how much more damage do you do with Unicorn Spike's damage debuff in effect? When I use it at LHC, it looks like about 20%-25% more damage.
2. For party members and maxed Uni spike, do the 10 attacks count for each party member separately, or combined?
3. When party members exhaust their allotted attacks in less than 15 seconds, do I still get the damage debuff effect?
The thing about Gust Dive, you can't combo it with Rising Rush like you can with Dual Blades, or else half the monsters will be left behind.
I was bored so I started playing with my Razer Blackwidow's macros and I managed to macro Ishtar's Ring so that I can walk around with it and shoot. Only problem is that my game crashes sometimes because the macro is way too fast...
It's not as fast as the normal Ishtar's Ring but its still pretty fun walking around shooting it.
yeah, its the same as tapping but its easier on your fingers and keyboard.
My keyboard has built in macros so you can only do this is you have a gaming keyboard of some kind that allows you to program macros.
So basically, Uni spike isn't really used in 1 vs 1 bossing situations?
Seriously? I thought it was considered s'hit tier just like monkey wave used to be.
I find myself using Unicorn and Spikes together whenever I'm bossing quite often. I don't know how much it actually helps though, its just become a habit.
It's useless for single target unless if you're still in 3rd job.
