First clear, limit breaker, and 8man no death.
There's an event tomorrow for 50% exp and drop (will be really nice stacking with 200% channel bonus) + the gangnam style dance gesture if you missed it before

Gratz. For a sec there I got confused as hell wondering why you were me. Dat costume :f4:
Grats on limit breaker man. :D
Ah, PapouFruit. Friendly guild. :D
FYI, most people think Guardian sucks right now. Hell, my guild leader switched from Guardian to Crusader and says he's not looking back. However, apparently Guardian's support role got super buffed in the korean version recently, to the point where a lot of Crusaders switched to Guardian for Desert Dragon Nest, where DPS takes a back seat to survivability because it's impossible to just DPS through stage mechanics like with GDN. Tough it out, learn how you can tank, and you're going to be highly rewarded.
If you need crafting material, let me know. My IGN is SaitoHikari, or drop a note here or on the Salvation guild thread on the Nexon forums (of which the forums for DN are actually quite bearable compared to Maple, we even have a local GM that personally responds to tickets. Apparently there's no longer a backlog of tickets for DN). I tend to have like 40 of each that I don't really plan on using, thanks to running the Chaos Rifts.
(For Chaos Rifts... They're most accessible through the Garden of Eternity in Saint's Haven. It's the purple portal with a dimensional rabbit next to it. You need a Dimensional Box Key for each rift, and each rift has 7 clears per week, so 21 keys in total if you plan to do all three. The rifts reward you with random crafting material based on the level of the rift, along with technique fragments. You can use the technique fragments at the blacksmith to turn standard epic accessories into technique accessories, which add +1 to a skill.
Note that the technique accessories have randomized stats based on the list the blacksmith provides, which is why most people just use junk accessories such as Knightly to craft the technique accessory. Also, specific skills can only be crafted with a specific accessory type. For example, only earrings can be crafted with Aura of Healing, and I'm fairly sure Conviction and Elemental Aura are both ring techniques.)
I don't think I mentioned it but my IGN is Unmarked.
I'm looking at the salvation thread on DN forums; I'll probably apply in a few weeks when I have a little more funding/better geared/know what I'm doing.
I started looking at this thread and becoming interested in DN again around when GDN was released - wanted to eventually be able to complete a run. I looked up and saw how desert dragon wasn't released yet in NA, so I guess a back of my mind goal is to be ready for that when it comes out and maybe even be on one of the first teams to clear it.
While I was interested in GDN, I will not be interested in DDN for a while...dat 8.5 hr clear time. While most of it was for discussion, eating, etc. the difficulty seems too great for me to bother at 60 cap.
I'll add you on my Engi, but adding people isn't mutual on DN. It'll just say "___ added you as a friend" and it's up to you whether you want to buddy them back.
That was CDN which has buffed up bosses.
@Bryan: Don't expect DDN until january of next year unlesss they somehow start giving us content faster. Then maybe october.
Back on topic of DDN
51:13 clear time, 8 man including deaths

1:03:54 clear time, 6 man no death (only boss fight)

^ Hopefully gives you some shooting star inspiration.
Oh...CDN...guess we won't have to worry about guilds running to CDN to practice for DDN unless we're slated for the buffed version too.
As for Shooting Star, don't worry I have no intention of quitting, and my damage doesn't seem too far behind that one's. Saw a ~900k super ball. Mine do like 500k-600k in GDN at bishops when I get lucky (before the extra hit for no-bounces-left). I'm surprised I didn't see a merc in that party unless I wasn't looking hard enough. And the SM looked like a glad seeing as I don't think LK's would look for Hacking Stance in their builds.
500-600k superball seems extraordinarily high even with EX version and buffs. My GM in chaos rift (so 100% FD, should be comparable to party buffs) initial hit with non-EX superball + tech ring is like 210k? I don't think I've seen it break 250
Only way I can see it hitting that high is with double ice stack. Too much is going on for me to see my damage so maybe I do hit that high sometimes.
@Bryan: It'll take you a couple months at least to get fully geared for this cap (Meaning L-grade/gdn/good epics, perfect sparks, perfect accs, 3rd stat crests). And then you start perfecting that gear.
Yeah, I see that once in a blue moon. I average in the 200-300k range. It depends on what is stacking and buffs, though.
Edit:
@Kaasoljoyyx;
SS'd my Super Ball at GDN today:

The 50% drop increase is all weekend, right?
I have roughly ~1300 gold. Best investments? Still using the free +10 stuff, no skill plates, and random cheap blue enhancements (mostly following what Matt posted) and a level 50 superb brutal plate (found from a run).
Izar helped me out last night (still unsure on DN igns -> southperry names), so thank you!
I haven't even looked at farming yet. I should have time on Saturday to check it out, so I'll figure out what questions I have for that then.
Hmmmm, not sure how to gear a Guardian, but I'd say start with equipment. Maybe start with weapons or your top since weapons give damage and tops give the most HP bonus. I'd get a top/weapon that was suggested and upgrade it to +6 & Suffix II w/ a good spark since that should be better than the given +10 top due to stats on Suffix II.
You also mentioned no skill plates? You could probably get a decent upgrade investing in one of those. If you have ~800-1300 Dimensional Key Fragments, you could also buy a skill crest pouch from Stashy or any one of the crest makers for the level range one of the suggested skills falls under and try for an easy epic skill crest from that before buying it. If you're unsure of what level range pouch your crest is in, you can check DNArmory to be sure you buy the one you want.
Sort of in the same boat on what to upgrade...I have 3k and am considering saving for a Volcanic Cannon (or looting one in the weekly GDN runs) or spending the gold on enhancement crests -- I have like one or two level 50 crests and still need a Windswept + Destructive + Health + Life-giving superb level 50.
My names in DN all have Primates in them thanks to Nexon banning "JP" in names on Dragon Nest.
How does the extra damage really work? Never figured it out

@Bryan
The gear you have atm is stupidly OP so I would upgrade it later. I would spark your armors for at least %hp atm and weapons try for phys dmg
- Sparks come from abyss dungeons
- 400 royal court faction points gets you a pouch which has a random epic spark
Yes the 50% drop increase is all weekend. I would at least buy the main 6 blue level 50 plates I mentioned. I would also look for a epic heart of glory duration skill crest (they should be like 300-400 max i think)
Do your ladder games before the reset tomorrow morning. Also I would recommend you do level 24 and 32 rifts solo before the reset as well. Level 50 depends on gear but a guardian can do it undergeared. This will practically 1.5 your money, double if you do level 50s as well
For the rest of your gold, I would buy vital earrings and neckalce. Aim for 2 line, primary VIT, secondary STR.
As of right now in market
Necklace:
clean, 500g
STR/VIT/HP (perfect spark), 1k
Earring:
Can get a cheap one for 150-400,
perfect spark one, 1111
Remember you will eventually exchange these out for diff accessories, but not for a long time. I also would not unstamp them (similar to karmas if you don't know yet) until you get the proper spark. You'd take advantage of diamond spark service which ranges from 60-125g (similar to say goodness chaos of scroll service)
When you have a lot of altheums, at least 50 in my opinion, then go make
Ancient totem top + pants, +6 enhancement, suffix II VITALITY, HP spark
Guardian spark is generally VIT/HP/STR, only other one that can compare is the one with ele defs but that's extremely rare.
Sparked all my armor to have 6.5% hp and either str/agi/vit for the top 2 lines
Weapon is magic dmg/str/agi
Offhand is phys/agi/int
Had two diamond epic sparks, bought the clean 500g pendant and got STR/VIT/HP on the second spark.
Already using vital earring str/vit/mp
I did my 10 ladder games yesterday, 24 and 32 rifts are done
titan/abn reg are done
apoc/manti hell done
I now have 137k hp 46k mp and 2.9 ~ 4.6k phys and 2.3 ~ 3.7k mag
Gonna try out level 50 rift now and apoc reg later
My understanding may only be as good as yours.
I know that Super Ball can bounce x number of times. On a single target it does not bounce (requires at least 3 targets to bounce for the full duration). Since it does not bounce, it does extra damage based on the level and how many bounces are left. If it has 12 bounces, and uses 8, 4 are left. I don't know whether the damage is additive or multiplicative in regards to the skill's damage (damage + x% per bounce left or damage * x% per bounce left).
I'm mostly wondering how it works for single target.
Probably the same as before, but with just no bounces meaning a lot of extra damage, as seen by the almost 1.1mil I did there on a single target. Not sure which is the bonus hit, so idk if the primary hit or the bonus hit was stronger.
Now, do I keep the level 45/50 stuff from Padma? It looks like that's what's used to craft suffixes.
Apoc materials? NPC food I assume?
Rifts give you suffix mats, keep those. Rifts also give technique fragments that are used to craft the technique rings. I'd keep those, but sell the ones you don't need on the MP (if you aren't making a tech for the level 24-40 range, sell those fragments, and so on).
Nest mats -- you can hoard those or sell to NPCs/MP. Blue nest mats tend to sell for a lot more than green ones, so if you feel like it's worth making a bit of gold, stick it on the MP. I am hoarding my ABN/Titan mats for when Kali comes out, but I'm selling anything else.
NPC the 24 and 32 blues + greens. Sell the 50 blues + greens. Sell all the fragments. I would not try and make your own tech stuff right now as it can get quite expensive, depends on luck. 10 options, each accessory takes like 400-500g. You're generally better off buying a pre-crafted one. Tony spent I think 20k on each one trying to make his.
Apoc mats, just npc them. Sometimes you can sell them but not worth it.
