I'm on C2D and I get one performance warning on Chromium 7. This is why when testing browsers all tests must be done on the same system. Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Shidoshi - 2010-09-18 ![]() Using Chrome 6.0.472.59 on WinXP Not a really powerful computer, bought at the start of 2007. I'm guessing the threshold of getting a 100 on Chrome is "Can run Chrome 6"

Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Shidoshi - 2010-09-18 Just for fun: IE6 on my WinXP
Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Cyadd - 2010-09-18 I get 95 on HTML5 test with IE9, and 139 with FF 3.6.10. I don't have Chrome. Do you think it'd give me a higher score on HTML5 with Chrome? Acid3 tests were both around 95. Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Zelkova - 2010-09-18 Satellite Wrote:Hope you like my comic =) Lol, that looks like a modified version of some comic I saw on 4chan. XD Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Kortestanov - 2010-09-18 Did I hear anyone saying OLD BROWSER TIME? ![]() Fun fact: IE5 can't even run ACID2 or ACID3 because it has no JavaScript, and fails ACID1 because of the infamous box model bug. Acid3 tests were both around 95.Chromium 7 gets 241(+8) on HTML5, perfect on ACID3 and CSS Selectors, and about 450ms on sunspider (on my system). Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Hazzy - 2010-09-18 Their fancy flower site renders better in Chrome than IE, and better in IE than FF. Chrome is the only one that renders music, and FF won't even have the dinging noise. I really like IE's idea of pinning web pages to the Windows 7 task bar. If it were more versatile, I'd consider using it. Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Hazzy - 2010-09-18 http://jackinthe.cloudapp.net/Navigate.html Firefox: No audio, otherwise works. IE9: Audio, runs smoothly, very nice Chrome: Audio, runs at a very choppy frame rate. Cannot turn pages Opera: No Audio, lags a bit but then runs smoothly Kortestanov Wrote:If you mean how tabs are previewed when you hover over the IE icon in the taskbar, then it is also available in firefox. I mean how you can drag the tab from the IE window onto the taskbar and create a permanent link. http://www.beautyoftheweb.com/#/highlights/seamless-with-windows-7 Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Index - 2010-09-18 I just played around with that flower page on Chrome 6 and the browser crashed. I can't remember the last time that's happened. Internet Explorer 9 Beta - MyMind - 2010-09-19 i wanna see the benchmarks of the final version of ie9, chrome 7 and FF 4 all of them with hardware acceleration Internet Explorer 9 Beta - Roxas - 2010-09-19 You know, benchmarks don't matter for the end-user, the only good way to rate a browser is by actually using it. So far, I love IE9, though I miss adblock, but I can live with that. The Onebox is something they got from Chrome, which I really appreciate since that was one of my favourite features of Chrome. I can't speak for the Hardware acceleration part, since my computer apparently does not support this feature. http://9elements.com/io/projects/html5/canvas/ Try that out. Neat HTML5 page. Internet Explorer 9 Beta - butterfλi - 2010-09-19 IE9 isn't available for XP. lol. I don't expect MS to keep catering to a 9000 year old OS but that pretty much left behind all the companies, college campuses and military folks who are on XP on the company computers. Chrome is slowly starting to appear in the computers of some labs on my campus but I guess I won't be expecting IE9 on them. |
