Re: Currently Airing Anime
More new season stuff:
The World is Still Beautiful 1-2:
Some solid fantasy stuff going on here. Also the worst OP/ED/insert song I've heard in a long time. The broken Engrish. Why. Is reverse tsundere a thing? Can you call a male a tsundere character? Anyway, enjoying the interactions between the princess and king. Will continue to watch.
Coffin Chaika 1-2:
Me, the whole time:

Digging the costume designs.

Alrighty!
FT tomorrow
Re: Currently Airing Anime
HanaKana is voicing traps in both Nanana's Buried Treasure and If Her Flag Breaks.
Blade and Soul seems to be: Introduce new big boobed girl > Have Alka say nothing but "revenge" > Mention how bad Palam is > Kill of mooks introduced earlier that really had little importance > Have fight with annoying sound effects.
Chaika - The Coffin Princess: Looks like it will get interesting. All poor Chaika wants to do is have a proper funeral. I'm guessing its going to take a bad turn
Is the Order a Rabbit: Too moe.
Nagi-Asu: Started watching this, up to 20. Don't know how I missed it.
@Foxino; You used the same screen I did :f3:
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Marathoning Log Horizon right now. This is substantially better than SAO.
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Nanana's Buried Treasure episode 2: Dat trap. dat is all.
No Game, No Life episode 2: Farrrr better than the first episode. "Steph-a-scope" was hilarious, and the main characters were genuinely likeable, funny and nice. The Rock Paper Scissors game was interesting. Actually quite like this show now.
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Black Bullet 2: the amount of loli's makes it much harder to take the show's serious side seriously
Break Blade 2: albeit i never watched its previous incantations, the show is alot more interesting then what I originally set its level at. the pacing is a bit slow though, which is my only gripe with it
Date A Live 2 2: wheres KURUMIN
Brynhyldr 2: Dat death scene
Isshuukan Friends 2: Its a good show, but i got to stop watching it late at night. shows pace makes me sleepy
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei 2: generic plug for underpowered overpowered MC
Mangaka-san 2: oddly entertaining
Nanana: its like the mainstream version of Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle
Arc-V: of course the plot gets ridiculous as apparently yuya invents pendulum summoning without knowing that he invented pendulum summoning.
previous seasons:
nisekoi: the show loves to tug lines on whose best girl
nobunaga the fool: the show gets weirder by the moment

They love her work as Charlotte from IS.
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Finished Log Horizon. Pace tapered off as the world building solidified, but what a world they've built. Love it. Felt so much more like my MMO experience than SAO. Plenty of enticing open ends, looking forward to season two. I'd call it a top 15 show for me. Strongly recommend.
It's really got me wanting to play an MMO. Which I know I shouldn't. But I want to. And I definitely shouldn't take any recommendations. Especially not ones with good crafting systems. Or that are F2P. And not very pay to win. I sure hope nothing like that exists. Because if it does. I'm pineappleed.
I'm up to 119 completed shows. I'm not sure if I should be proud.

[Fedora tipping intensifies] I don't keep track of shows I've stopped watching a few episodes in. And my simple Microsoft Word list is inconsistent when it comes to listing seasons as separate or one show. But damn. What on earth are the two shows you actually dropped?
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Hm, I should make a MAL tomorrow, not going to bother today. I only started seriously watching shows last fall, so obviously I am very far behind. Probably won't ever catch up, but I'd like to watch some of the bigger/more popular shows in summer when I have time. Some of my friends Have watched 6-8 months worth of anime.

Aku no Hana, wasn't a fan of the rotoscoping animation. went to read the manga afterwords
Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon, despite its immense popularity, the shows first few episodes were an absolute clusterpineapple and it turned off many viewers who were new to the world of Horizon. The actual source is very text heavy, and condensing much of the text into animation loses a lot of value, especially the comprehension factor. other than that, I tend to not drop shows, despite how bad they are.
@above, I would recommend using Hummingbird.me created by users and better security(mal has been attacked so many times) and less bad post ridden compared to MAL

I struggled with both of those. Hell, I even gave Horizon two chances. Aku no Hana had an amazing ED at least.
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Dragonar Acedemy: Funimation cut the excellent tentacle scene. They probably will cut the next few tentacle scenes too.
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Mekakucity 2
The first episode was pineappleing terrible, but I'm glad I didn't drop it, this episode was a lot better, also I want that insert song, it's super cute ;_;

The insert song is Kisaragi Attention. It's the song this episode was based on.
Or rather, that insert song is a cover of the original one.
Here's the original song (sung by the vocaloid IA):

I like the version in the episode a lot better. But then, I don't really like vocaloid.
Re: Currently Airing Anime
Kanojo Flag episode 3: Oh god, as soon as I saw that flashback I panicked, the usual cliche story of 2 childhood friends, one who is a girl that dresses like a boy and wears a hat, they meet in the present and she's a beautiful girl, blah blah. I thought "oh god they are going to drag this out over the whole show and it's going to be painful."
And then... it was resolved, instantly. Seriously this show is awesome at playing with typical harem or romance tropes.

It's pretty fast paced. Every girl falls for him almost instantly and they explain why usually pretty quickly. Then they move on. I don't know if the anime will get through much of the "story" behind the flags or stick to the harem comedy routine. It doesn't look like they can fit or resolve most of the flag business into 12 episodes. The anime is slightly different from the manga, no idea about the original LN though.
