I'm so glad I was late to the party and could therefore marathon this show.
Too good.
Like... the only things I think are better would be Bebop and GitS:SAC 2nd Gig. Breakneck even with Eden of the East and then everything else comes after. Completely on par with GitS in its sci-fi merits of taking a sweet technology and thoroughly breaking down the consequences and benefits of that technology.

New season: Just what the pineapple? Most series were so fast-paced, I didn't understand them. Though, some were good.
Shinryaku!? Ika Musume: Pretty awesome. More Ika! ^^
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon: Seemed pretty good, I'll continue watching it.
Hunter x Hunter: Nope, I never saw the first one or read the manga. I'm pretty much new to this, so I think I didn't even know it. It seems pretty good, and since the manga is very long, and I like long Shounen animes, I hope it goes through all the manga. Though, I read they were changing a lot of things, and making it more kid-friendly... Can anyone confirm this?
C³: Seemed pretty... random. I mean, wtp? One moment the dude gets a cube, the other it's a girl, then comes the other girl... How did she even get clothes?! I'll give it a chance and watch some more episodes.
Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai!: Well, another kind of fast-paced. I had no idea of what was going on exactly, but it seemed pretty cool. Will continue.
Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle: Another fast-paced. wtp WAS THAT? Just some dude who is awesome with puzzles, then goes to solve the impossible puzzle, then gets super-puzzle-resolving-powers, then he has an epiphany and gets ready to solve the puzzle. What? I'll continue watching it, the concept at least seems pretty cool.
watched the first episode of steins gate and I'm probably going to see how many episodes I can watch today
C³ Episode 1: Hilarious, cute, good characters introduced already. the Moeblob Meganekko is easily my favourite character already, especially love how things around her tend to get sliced in half when shes angry. The evil blonde woman with the huge metal gauntlet looks like she's gonna be an interesting villain, hoping for some cool fight scenes.

Shinryaku! Ika Musume S2 02: I was disturbed by Nagisa-kun. Weight adjustment ring was interesting. I had imagined they helped her float in water or something.
Fate/Zero 01: Epic. Came four times. Once when loli-Rin appeared. Twice when loli-Rin appeared and mouthed off at Kirei. And once when Saber was summoned. Looking to be a fantastic season.
Curious about Fate/Zero. Would I need to get into the other series to get a sense of what's going on in F/Z?
I think Fate/Stay Night is a requirement to understand what's going on since they don't really explain the story or characters all that much, since it's presumed you've seen Fate/Stay Night or read the visual novel. I think it'd be like Star Wars, where you can watch the terrible prequels before the original three and understand what's going on, but you're better off watching the order of release knowing Anakin Skywalker will become Darth Vader etc etc.Quote:

I personally can't say whether Fate/Stay Night is necessary to understand the plot, but it would probably help a bit, if only because they give a small bit of information about the main character of Fate/Zero. Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon - Aside from the sunspot censor (oh god why was it even there in the first place?) and the unnecessarily inflated breasts, it was a good episode. I really hope they don't overuse the sunspot censor, or the main character's perversion and idiocy. I'm not a major fan of idiot main characters.

Universe? Definitely the biggest draw. Very sharp production. Intriguing world they're trying to set up. Interesting weapon system.
Characters? What a sh'it show. Painfully over-designed and over-endowed. I think the guy chilling out smoking a pipe was the only reasonable looking person in the bunch
Plot? We'll see. I have decent hopes.

So, just finished Steins Gate. It was really really good, but damn... I feel like a bunch of Mayuri's deaths could have easily been prevented. I'm just thinking in my head "dude.... really? Why didn't you just keep her at home quietly rather than having her out in the middle of the road at night?"
The show does have a very Chaos;Head feel to it which is cool
