Airrat Wrote:I go on there to look at stuff from time to time. Mainly claws as everything else is pretty much empty.

It wasn't like that a few months ago

Now I can't find a single 1h sword even in Bera's auctions

Basilmarket - thelagger - 2008-07-06

I can care less about them anyway, everytime I put a bid up some kid bids and never buys it.

Retalion Wrote:I use basil for making money. Buy cheap there, then resell for more in fm, haha.

That'd be my copyrighted marketing technique that you don't have permission to telecast to everyone D=.

Protip: never sell anything on Basil unless you really are in need of getting rid of that item. If you want something for cheap, GO TO Basil lol, scrolls are like 1m less than fm price.

Basilmarket - ★tastie - 2008-07-07

ive never really understood basil, going through the auctions. i see people supposedly buying swords and other things for ridiculous prices, obviously people were throwing in fake bids. i could also never find a well upgraded item when i wanted it. i guess the REAL reason people use basil is for scrolls? the other thing is in terms of forums, people there spam SO much.

I don't like basilmarket, he keeps rejecting my submitted pictures even though they're not bad in any way. Plus I find the forum rules too stupid, (must have +5 feedback to post and discussion about private servers will lead to suspension)

Basilmarket - Kigaz - 2008-07-12

most people use basil for the forums (unfortunantly)

The thing that I dislike about this rule is that BM also culls inactive accounts. (I took a break from MS in 2007, and I think my BM account got culled because of it.)

I absolutely don't see why this account culling at BM is necessary.

Basilmarket - Kevvl - 2008-07-13

The forums aren't that bad. The Class specific sections are nice enough at least, and that's all I visit. Although, it has significantly more spam than other sites, I enjoy going to Basil because I can help people there more than any other site.

Basilmarket - Muse - 2008-07-13

I havn't been to BasilMarket for a couple of years. Thats probably because I turned 18.

Basilmarket - xLishaBaby - 2008-07-13

I used to go on basil a lot.
I haven't been using it for months now though.
It just takes longer, than looking through fm, because you have to win the auction, then wait for the person to contact you or answer your msgs, then you have to wait for that person to show up. And if you're really unlucky, you won't finish the trade anyways in the end, cause that person may have changed their mind or just put up an auction for fun? D:

Basilmarket - Rain - 2008-07-13

I havent been to basil...well...for...uh...awhile :f6:

Basilmarket - Felicitates - 2008-07-13

Yeah, I've also noticed that.

It used to be useful with finding out the typical price of something at a glance, and finding some good auctions going on.

But now it's scarcely used. I guess those fake auctions/bids kinda drew people away.

That's okay, I never used it anyways Rolleyes

Basilmarket - »-Chris-> - 2008-07-13

Easy enough to just find in fm now? Way shorter wait time, and even can get cheaper prices.

Basilmarket - miny - 2008-07-13

When I was lower level, I used Basilmarket a lot, but now, I don't even use it.

Basilmarket - Bacon - 2008-07-13

I have never used BasilMarket (as in, I've never bought or sold anything). I used to use BasilMarket as a standards of checking the price of an item, but with the fluctuation of the market, I find that BasilMarket isn't as reliable as it was when it first came out.

Basil is useless to most people, since they already know the prices of things.

If most people knew about prices, then scammers would be out of a job.

Scammers can only get to the newbies who have never played. I feel sorry for the people who've been playing for years and can still get scammed. If you've been playing for over a month of so, I'm sure you'll be able to find buddies who know all the prices. You don't even need to learn them yourselves. If I ever need to find out the price of things, I'll usually ask in my buddylist or guild and I'd get an answer back within a few minutes. It's quite nice.

omg, they CULL accounts Eek?
Mines is probably culled already, been inactive for at least half a year now...

Basilmarket - Katie - 2008-07-16

Do they even update things on there? Seem's like anytime I went to that site, prices of things just seemed completely wrong. Same with the auctions. I could never find anything and when people did bid on something, they were stupid about it.
