Democracy in Egypt or islamic take over? - Satellite - 2011-03-26

Equal rights would mean the updating of Islam, which is not going to happen.

Fiel Wrote:No? That's not even close to what he said.

He said that Obama was incorrect about the Brotherhood. That's completely separate from his other argument about how now that the Brotherhood is going to go to war with Israel (taking his word for granted) that now we will have to fight with the Brotherhood. Two different things bro.

A: Obama was wrong? Why?
Quote:Obama is not knowledgeable in matters of foreign policy

Which means:
B: He didn't do this: (otherwise he wouldn't have been wrong)
Quote:First, he could have listened to the people around him telling him about the Brotherhood. Then he could have taken that information to heart. He could have also put some pressure on the egyptian military to not turn power over to the brotherhood.

Which led to
C: This happens:
Quote:Tell that to Israel when the Brotherhood decides to take action against them. We will be drawn into yet another conflict if that happens because we would be treaty bound to do so.

Am I confusing something?

There are two scenarios:
1/ Obama listening to the consults offered to him and make appropriate interventions: Boom, zip, bang, conflict prevented.
2/ Obama refusing to do 1/: Ka-boom-bee-boom, conflict waged.

Enlighten me, gentlemen, how the pineapple is it not implied to have been Obama's fault?

Via magic. Common in politics.

Rick Wrote:Oh my God. You have just said, quite clearly, that the Brotherhood are going to attack Israel because Obama made an incorrect guess about them. You are nothing but the perfect candidate for global ignore, and an all around moron. I refuse to further respond to your idiocy, as should the rest of this entire forum. I'm also concerned that you have reproduced.

Fiel is exactly right in how he interpreted what I was saying. I think a certain few of you have a habit of misinterpretation/twisting of what people say. Maybe its the way I word it or I am not communicating it well enough in layman's terms. I dont know. At least some people are able to understand what is being said.

@satellite.....you are exactly right. Thats what worries me.

Wat? This is nothing like anything you've said.

It doesn't go magically from:
A/ You say this; to
B/ People understand another thing

There has to be a process for the loss in communication; and to make it painfully transparent for you, I have roughly outlined the train of thought that most of us seem to have had, please be kind enough to enlighten us where we went ever so wrong.

There are two scenarios:
1/ Obama listening to the consults offered to him and make appropriate interventions: Boom, zip, bang, conflict prevented.
¬B ⇒ ¬A ⇒ ¬C

2/ Obama refusing to do 1/: Ka-boom-bee-boom, conflict waged.
B ⇒ A ⇒ C

I have to say this....lol. You like many others here like to only see thing as "balck and white" when in fact there is no such thing. It is grey. There are not only 2 choices here, there are many, far more than even I can consider. Obama made his decision based on his thought that it was a democratic movement in that country. He was told that the military had connections with the brotherhood and he chose to ignore that information and continued to call for Mubarak to step down. Mubarak was reluctant to do so because of the fact that he knew about the brotherhoods motives. If you knew all or most of the facts behind the situation you would see the issue. Like I stated, the brotherhood is very much against Israel and the U.S.

Not Even one time did I say that it was Obama's fault. I have put in the facts of the situation here. One of those facts is that the brotherhood did make a statement saying that once Mubarak was gone and a new government was formed the peace with Israel would also be done.

Are we even speaking the same language? define:Consequence: That which follows something on which it depends; that which is produced by a cause.

You know, just because, I think for this comment I will us a line that Obama used once. "I think the fact that you looked up the definition of the word indicates that you are streching a little. Otherwise you wouldnt have gone to the dictionary to look up the definition."

You are right. However, the muslim brotherhood in egypt is extremist by islamic standards.

You do realize I was proving that you actually SAID that Obama's at fault and haven't even bothered touching your implications of such as I had been doing priorly, don't you? You don't even respond to logic, so my last attempt was simply to hand it to you WITHOUT forcing anybody to think. But apparently that failed as well.

Or I don't know, using back up such as a dictionary to show that the words you're using are backing up the very accusation that you are putting fault on Obama. Seriously take the hint.

Or maybe the word he defined was not a word that I used. Perhaps you should read my posts before saying that.

1/ Rick made a claim.
2/ You directly refuted that claim, thus directly involving yourself in this matter.
3a/ The content of the claim is determined by the definition of the word (because context doesn't work with you).
3b/ The fact that you re-used the word proved that you responded to THAT subject and not any other.
=> Thus, regarding the same subject at hand, you and Rick took opposing sides in opinions.

WHAT IS SO pineappleING HARD TO GET?

kanevaldier Wrote:Or maybe the word he defined was not a word that I used. Perhaps you should read my posts before saying that.

You said: Inconsequential.

He Defined: Consequence.

The breakdown:

Inconsequential = In-(prefix) x Consequence x -ial (suffix; simple form: -al)

In(prefix) = Not, Without

-ial = pertaining to

Inconsequential = Without x Consequence x pertaining to = Without x pertaining to x consequence

Inconsequential = without pertaining to consequence.

Now, using the definition provided by Kalovale:

Inconsequetial = (Without pertaining to)(That which follows something on which it depends; that which is produced by a cause.) = Without pertaining to that which follows something on which it depends; Without pertaining to that which is produced by a cause.

In short, thread should have ended here:

Why drawn so emo kanevaldier?

The only thing I agree with is why were getting involved. They aren't a threat to us, and I guarantee majority don't want democracy, just a new leader. It's just a larger scale of "curveball".

Democracy in Egypt or islamic take over? - kanevaldier - 2011-03-29

@octo.....lmao.

I find it quite funny how a word that I simply repeated was given such intense thought, while the subject itself was not. If you guys put this much effort into researching things like I do then you probably wouldnt argue as much as you do because you would get it a little better.

Is Obama at fault for the situation? No, provisionally. The provision is in regard to the posible future implications. That will determine if any fault or blame should be placed on him.
