So what's with SleepyWood? - Sublimity - 2008-07-04 Quite a immature act and time waster if you ask me. These days some ppl have way too much free time. People should use their time more constructively and less deconstructively So what's with SleepyWood? - Brandini - 2008-07-04 Saver Wrote:Even though there are arguments, filtering certain sites is ridiculous. I don't think it really matters. I am a member of three forums and I spread my time pretty evenly. I am a member of three forums and I spread my time pretty evenly. It's free to sign up at forums. I've signed up at at least five different MapleStory forums. I'm signed up at two Guild Wars forums. I don't really think it's imposing unless someone means harm. So what's with SleepyWood? - 303aegiszx - 2008-07-08 Lots of things happened on the forums and much of the public will never know. Adura has decided to govern his site a certain way, and clearly, many people do not agree but it is his choice. His loss. So what's with SleepyWood? - Derimed - 2008-07-09 To the best of my knowledge Sleepy is affiliated with some sites its leaders like and the others are censored out. In Basilmarket's case, I repeatedly heard that they give out unreliable information, such as inaccurate Gach lists for each town, so Sleepy doesn't want to recommend it. I don't think Southperry's case needs to be explained to anyone. So what's with SleepyWood? - Thunda - 2008-07-10 From what I gather (I've never been a SW.net fan, always MT) on the MT forums, there were childish acts, and random offensive posts (I don't know what content) were posted by MTers on SW forums and by SWers on MT forums. Hence mutually blocked. I think most people here know the story on SouthPerry and Flowsion. Basil's not blocked because it's dumb. It's blocked because Mr.Basil pissed Adura off with ridiculous demands. But Basil is almost never updated (ex. those Gach lists) Basically, SW blocks anyone trying to form a community because of former conflict, and apparently Adura keeps grudges. His loss? The old staff never blocked for childish things like Adura does, there were reasons for the blocks. darn i miss those guys, always had a knack for intelligent service and decent conversation, oh well, its just a shame that something so good (old SW) was left out to die, nothing against sleepy, just the community isnt what it was So what's with SleepyWood? - tzk221 - 2008-07-12 Nice to know the history of Maple Forums. I did not know any of this stuff except for the Basil vs. Sleepy one. Sleepy is one of the most sensitive forums I've been to. Right now I use Basil, Sleepy, SouthPerry, and AGF almost equally. I rarely use Nexon, MapleTip, and Hidden-Street forums. So what's with SleepyWood? - nikchi - 2008-07-12 Sleepywood is becoming nexon
So what's with SleepyWood? - Elu - 2008-07-14 Stereo Wrote:MapleTip is blocked because way back the admins there got in a bit of a fight with the SW admins, and ended up with some unfortunate stuff being posted on both forums. I'm pretty sure it's the same deal with basil. Something about someone being uncooperative. Either way, basil is a lot different than what it used to be [idiocy, spam, etc, we don't tolerate that]. It's quite nice actually. So what's with SleepyWood? - Roxas - 2008-07-14 Elu Wrote:I'm pretty sure it's the same deal with basil. Something about someone being uncooperative. It has toned down a bit yes, but there's still your regular ignorant/mentally retarded poster roaming there. Anyway, if you really want to know what happened to Sleepywood, I suggest you go search it on B0wjobs blog. So what's with SleepyWood? - ★tastie - 2008-07-14 Flowsion Wrote:BasilMarket is blocked because when BM first came out the sw staff was asked by BasilMarket to affiliate. They then told Sleepywood to remove it's market and put a re-direct to BM. It also demanded they do LOTS of changes to the forums. Sleepywood told them to pineapple off and blocked the site. i know of all of such, but whats hunterestory?
