Lots of things happened on the forums and much of the public will never know. Adura has decided to govern his site a certain way, and clearly, many people do not agree but it is his choice. His loss.

To the best of my knowledge Sleepy is affiliated with some sites its leaders like and the others are censored out. In Basilmarket's case, I repeatedly heard that they give out unreliable information, such as inaccurate Gach lists for each town, so Sleepy doesn't want to recommend it. I don't think Southperry's case needs to be explained to anyone.

From what I gather (I've never been a SW.net fan, always MT) on the MT forums, there were childish acts, and random offensive posts (I don't know what content) were posted by MTers on SW forums and by SWers on MT forums. Hence mutually blocked.
I think most people here know the story on SouthPerry and Flowsion.
Basil's not blocked because it's dumb. It's blocked because Mr.Basil pissed Adura off with ridiculous demands. But Basil is almost never updated (ex. those Gach lists)
Basically, SW blocks anyone trying to form a community because of former conflict, and apparently Adura keeps grudges. His loss?

Nice to know the history of Maple Forums. I did not know any of this stuff except for the Basil vs. Sleepy one. Sleepy is one of the most sensitive forums I've been to.
Right now I use Basil, Sleepy, SouthPerry, and AGF almost equally. I rarely use Nexon, MapleTip, and Hidden-Street forums.

It has toned down a bit yes, but there's still your regular ignorant/mentally retarded poster roaming there.
