So what's with SleepyWood?

First off, this isn't a hate thread, but an inquiry.
I find that almost all of the large Maple Forums are censored on Sleepywood.
Why?

BasilMarket - Disagreement about merging for bandwidth or something/filled with morons
SouthPerry - Need I say why?

But why Maple Tip? I asked about it, but got my thread locked. <_<

Could be Sleepywood doesn't like competition, and tries to flock more people to the site. I don't know honestly.

Anyways, that kind of stuff hurts the community.

AFAIK Basil is censored because SW (the higher ups at least) hates them and the stupidity that goes on there

I believe Adura censors these other forums to prevent people leaving his forum or something like that x_x I never understood it either...

MapleTip is blocked because way back the admins there got in a bit of a fight with the SW admins, and ended up with some unfortunate stuff being posted on both forums.

It's some kind of attempt to crash a website I believe.

Even though there are arguments, filtering certain sites is ridiculous.

For example, filtering this forum...well, it just says to get rid of the competition advertisement.
However, now that the forum is looking similar to SW's, there is a clear reason to filter the site.

I mean...forums like this one and SW were created to keep a community together, not just a pass-by site.

For those claiming the two sites look the same, it's just because we've taken it to a variation of the default. When we get a good idea in mind, we'll change it to what we want it to use.

Hey Stereo, long time no see! *waves*

I'd been noticing SW declining for a long time. If I wasn't banned, next month would have marked one year I was there and wow, it had essentially reached the point that I didn't WANT to be there anymore. The community had been... well, it sucked. The helpful members were gone (I missed Stereo's warrior advice above all else, everyone else was just like "dood u weak stop makin wariors luk bad") The good mods were gone for the most part (not that Hupermug or chafalcar were bad or anything, but no Congee? *sad*) and the members who I once agreed with on every little thing had degenerated into a nooby pile of insults. Does anyone here remember the days when typing out the whole "Can you please change channels?" was polite? For the past few months, anything other than ccplz on SW was considered "an excuse to KS" which is really false and messed up.

I'm saddened by what SW has become, but hey. No hard feelings about being banned since I was planning on leaving anyways.

I think its basically spamming the server the site is based on until it becomes clogged and unaccesable. I think.

The point of spamming the server is so that other people can't get onto the site, thus they get denied the services the site provides.
