Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
So, the item servers were kinda up and down this evening, but the oddest thing just happened to me.
When I got my loadout back (partially, still couldn't change it), I suddenly got 5 Moustashium Bars and a Spacemetal scrap. They are untradable, achievement items. Thing is, I don't own SpaceChem. I played the demo once several months ago, but didn't even finish it, nonetheless get close to the achievements to get these. They also appeared starting about 7 slots in from the first blank spot in my inventory, which is odd. Because of their status it isn't possible for someone to have given them to me, not that I know anyone who would, and I checked my account to be sure, but my account does not have SpaceChem. No one took over my account to buy the game like I've seen in someone else's case.
Just... Confusled.

Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
That SpaceChem thing has happened before. When they game first game out I got a load of bars and the item used to make the pin without owning it or even playing the demo. So I just crafted myself a SpaceChem pin and thought no more of it, still have a couple of left over bars.

Man I should take a break from TF2 more often. I found a hat yesterday and then another one today.

Starting to get into the basics of TF2 item trading by reading a guide. Good god it's a lot to ingest, especially the idea items are pretty much measured in Refined Metal. And all this stuff about trading a weapon for a scrap metal, and escalating it from there.
Also, did you know you can view people's backpacks on a fan-made site? I looked up my own backpack. Holy cow.

I've only ever made 1 trade, I don't have the patience to start merchanting. And I don't really care for fancy hats.
On another note, I've come to conform to the change to the Sandvich. I've been healing my team a lot now and eating it successfully behind corners (with hilarious results like having people fail to kill me while I eat it and having me kill them after I end it). It just makes me facepalm sometimes when people DON'T PICK THE PINEAPPLEING SANDVICH on the ground and proceed to die.

There are quite a few different backpack viewing websites.
There are other things you can do too. For example this website http://www.tf2crafting.info/ checks what’s in your backpack and tells you what you can craft.
Okay this is my 3rd time playing and the 3rd time I just found a hat. I don’t know what’s going on maybe I shouldn’t complain but that’s just weird.

So how bad/minor is the Tomislav nerf? As for people not picking up Sandvich, I blame that they are too distracted by enemy fire to notice a free 50% health pack on the ground. Stuff like this would probably never happen if the server allows mic chatting.

If you happen to have the Team Captain hat (aka M. Bison hat), I'll try to scrounge up something to trade for it. That hat is just too funny.

Told you it's not that bad :f3:.

There was no Tomislav nerf O.o
And I usually start screaming on mic, I like talking when playing TF2. It's useful for stuff like "WHY THE pineapple DO WE HAVE 5 SNIPERS AND 3 SPIES!?"

Only when there are 2 Hoovies on the team, so they can swap Sanviches. Oh god, why does that sound a little ho yay?
But yeah, I'm starting to see the usefulness of being able to recover your Sandvich is someone doesn't pick it up.

I thought they went through with the -50 HP debuff for equipping Tomislav. :f6:
And to the 2nd part: Normally I hate when entire team is mostly one class, but if both sides do it it gets hilarious. Even moreso as long as there are people commenting on mic how silly things are. I think my most recent traumatic experience was being a Medic and healing an entire team of Scouts doing a Capture Point map. IT DID NOT GO SO WELL, ESPECIALLY WHEN SCOOT VS HOOVY.

Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
Part of todays update:
- Fixed a case where capturing a point in overtime would end the round before time could be added
All I can say is about time.

Fixed overtime, eh? Better go all Scouts and push for a cap during Overtime!

Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
So I played a couple games as Tomislav Heavy, and personally I found the Sandvich change to be extremely minor in "nerfing" the Heavy. If anything, it's making it easier to be credit to team. One death I saw I healed 450 HP, meaning I essentially saved 3 lives on my team, most likely when a Medic wasn't around to help heal. Repicking up Sandvich in case I need it is pretty neat.

I've recently started playing on a more "pro" server and I've given up on the Tomislav, giving up 20% fire rate is not a good thing if your team is good enough that you don't need to play Scout-heavy.

Going to switch back to stock Minigun in due time. For now, that faster start-up is far too helpful in killing enemies before they hit me.

Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
All I want is a Point and shoot.
I'd be willing to trade all my hat bar the sombrero for it. I know it isn't a lot, but I just want to be a wizard.

Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
Point and Shoot + All-Father = Gandalf
A pretty awesome combo.

Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
Had an all SPAH game Payload map. Oh the utter chaos and lols that ensued. The massive points came from the fact it was their last match before the map changed. I happened to pop in right as they decided an all SPAH team on both sides.

Re: Official TF2 Thread, now featuring AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS
Weekly Patch today. The most interesting of the notes are:
Nerfed the Phlogistinator:
- Reduced direct damage by 10% (Afterburn unaffected)
- Fixed a bug where Mmmph Crit flames would charge the Mmmph meter, allowing for a chain of Mmmph buffs.
- Reduced the buff duration from 12 to 10 seconds.
Added the Cozy Camper (a Secondary "weapon" for the Sniper)
No flinching while aiming
Knockback reduced by 20% while aiming
-60% slower movement speed while aiming
