That is the most annoying part, most people just try to do that. It does not always work, but it is so annoying to be thousands of points ahead and then lose it in 10 seconds.

The herb and mining bag and the coin purse are the only thingsworth buying in the New Year Coin Shop. Scrolls too, if you are a scroll person. But Yut Wars is much fun. :D

When you are facing people who are going for the low score aura hax, you both have to compete for having the lowest score when aura comes. The aura will be useless if we both have zero points.

Well I can now officially say Route 5 Rien is insanely good for drop rate on SW items, I didn't get drops from reg kraken and reg levi, but the moment i killed my first Red kraken, I got 3 SW weapons on the first run, second run only 1. So Tally for tonight is 4 weapons: 1 SW 2H sword, 2h BW, spear, and pa. So to those who have had poor drop rates once you hit rien you should be good for drops.

Weird, I've had the complete opposite luck. 12th voyage in Rien netted me my first SW Weapon in the area (a 2H Axe), while I've gotten 1 from Mu Lung (25 voyages) and 4 from Rosa (20 voyages).
Also, I noticed something strange about Red Grosso Polpo:

You can see Soul Seeker bouncing off of Grosso Polpo, but also bouncing off of the bottom of the boat. It hits in random places in that general area, and does no damage to Grosso Polpo.

Thats not so weird, it happens on the reg one too, don't know why but yeah, thats odd o.0 only 1 drop in all those rien runs? Today was my first 2 runs to rien ever and both times I gained drops.

I got a crossbow from Livyatan on my first Rien run, nothing on the second, and 3 weapons (Katara, Bow, Wand) from Red Grosso Polpo on the third run. Considering up until now my total was two items in all (Desperado and Polearm), that's a very big improvement.
T> any of the above for a SW Sword (1h) in MYCK.

Is Rien's red Grosso Polpo easier than Herb Town's Livyatan? Cause... I don't even get close to killing that one (like, it has over 80% hp left. Maybe 85), so I haven't bothered doing so many Herb Town runs.

More HP, but you get a lot more time compared to Livyatan. I think the estimates were around 3-4 minutes.

Yes, in the sense that you have a far longer timer for killing the red grosso polpo.

Hmm, sounds like I should just go for it... fewer brown Grosso Polpos for a couple days, but the exp on Herb Town runs are 2x as good anyway, and a lot of why I'm doing it is to steadily progress past 200.

FML, can't even get top 50 dojo gloves now. Everyone can finish Dojo in a breeze now, which means you can't get any type of gloves without the ability to finish Dojo under 10 minutes.

Ranked Dojo should really have a weekly entry limit... it should block you from entering for 5-7 days ish if you successfully obtain gloves, there's no reason to go multiple times if you already have a pair.

No, the only reward for completing it is getting on the ranking. If someone is repeatedly getting in first place, it's because they like the attention or want to beat their own record.

The only thing you can get are the scrolls that can be used on the Dojo Belts (which are terrible), the only real reward is getting on the rankings board, people pretty much only go more than once to show off.
I guess the bosses give Ambition too, but you can farm that elsewhere significantly more easily anyway.

The "job advancement" system for Beast Tamer sounds pretty interesting.
I liked the way Zero advanced, the combat progressed to being more complex and the combos felt more complete as time went on.
With the way Beast Tamer works, the different "modes" get different skills at different times, so you will be constantly changing your strategy as you level up, until you learn all the skills.
I find that more interesting than "Job Advance = Now use these skills instead"

That's odd, it's working on a room by room basis for me
check your exp bar, the extra exp from the 2x quest won't be listed anywhere, but it will be reflected in how much experience you gain per room

Beast Tamer's birthplace is in Arbren, located below Commerci. So... It was intended as a GMS-original class? I'm confused by this new information. If there are no JP translations for it, how is this supposed to be released in Japan first - coming out in the official servers on January 16th? It just seems to me like Nexon doesn't know what they're doing. All evidence points to this class being designed for GMS.

So... It was intended as a GMS-original class? I'm confused by this new information. If there are no JP translations for it, how is this supposed to be released in Japan first - coming out in the official servers on January 16th? It just seems to me like Nexon doesn't know what they're doing. All evidence points to this class being designed for GMS.
I don't think so. Keep in mind that this is an interpretation of the OP who posted that. It is a new class available for all the regions who have the shared Dawnveil content. It is possible that the localization team of NA is in the progress of localizing this content and it maybe ended up in the early CMST client. Note that everything originates in Korean first and gets ported to other regions, who localize it in their version.
A few examples: untranslated Korean text for the Sengoku classes, when Root Abyss first came out in CMST as well as Commerci. And now it mentions the Tamer Stick weapon.
The CMST patch isn't even out yet AFAIK, so I don't even know how this information was retrieved.

You can drop Mihile link if you have your own stance, AB link is pretty lame, Merc link if you don't grind much, Jett/Hayato/Cannon link are sort of weak damage boosters, Kaiser link if you don't need extra hp.

Um, so I get a few glowing ghost bells from DI and use them on the beetle map and not one of them drop anything(I summoned it before in future henesys and it drop a sack each time) was it just bad luck or is the "level" of the glowing ghost based on the map thus being affected by drop penalty?

Yup, drop penalty. I used the bells a couple of times in Commerci, and got nothing. Moved to Future Henesys and the ghosts dropped 4/4 times.

JMS, CMS, TWMS and GMS are what I call "BT" servers. (Since that's what the data constantly refers this new quad-exclusive thing, it started from the Unleashed patch)
These four servers all get the same thing that isn't from KMS at (roughly) the same time and share content with one another.
I'm not sure who designs it but Commerci and Tynerum's map IDs start with an 8, which is generally reserved for JMS stuff (GMS is 6, CMS/TWMS is 7, MSEA/EMS is 5) but my mind is gearing towards that there is a dev team in NxK that produces and rolls out the content for these BT MapleStories and gives them to these four servers without these four having to ask for exclusive content and these four just accept it without hesitation.
Seeing as how GMS is getting a patch on the 15th and JMS is getting a patch on the 16th. I'm willing to believe that our next patch and the next D patch for these BT versions are going to be the Beast Tamer and Kritias (since it's coming in Jan. according to A Better Maple).

They only drop sacks if summoned in a map with mobs around your level. I don't think it's affected by the drop penalty since the drop seems to be either 100% or 0%.

Well, I unlocked Lith Harbor this time, and did a run. Here's the stuff I encountered:
-You get to fight 2 brown Gross Polpo/kraken. I didn't run into any green ones.
-In addition to fighting the regular Livyatan, there's a blue one with it. This one seems to have as much HP as a brown kraken. It still has the invincibility frames as the regular Livy and has an attack that does twice as much the regular one as well as its super KB attack. Timer goes very slow and it can cast 'seal', so bring all cures or something if you're running Lith.
-Killed around 340 monsters, and got about 140 mil of exp with 4x (daily 2x + event)
-Nothing too notable about the drop rate. I only had enough energy for one lith run and all I've gotten was a chain sword from it while on 4x drop.
I guess the most efficient way of spending 100 energy is doing One Lith Harbor run and 2 Rien in one day? Or two liths and a scrap run?

2 Lith + 1 Rosa = 9 bosses. 1 Lith and 2 Rein = 10 bosses.
The drop rate should be about the same for all the bosses, right? So I would go with the latter if you're going for Sweetwater drops.
I'm not sure which would be the best in terms of exp/denaro, though.

i almost Never get drops from livytan. maximizing polpo kills seems best

Anyone know if you can transpose untradable SW gear? I'd like to test my damage on bosses with the whip blade I have, but haven't successfully transposed yet (up to 35 fails) and don't want to equip it if I can't transpose it. :<

I tried to use a ticket today and still couldn't. Doesn't get used, no "you gain an extra entrance" notice.
I still believe it's because of the Pink Bean tickets.

Yes you can. My friend has been transposing his already equipped Sweetwater Bow for the past couple of days now, but it has yet to work.

The only other set items i have equipped are the Reinforced Gollux set, and the Meister Shoulder, neither of which require hats.

I know I should have asked this before i bought the helm but...it does work with fafnir sets right? If not I just scrwed myself out of a lot of money.

I keep getting disconnected in Red Leaf High during the fight where you have to wait for 2 minutes, attacking the enemies there sometimes disconnects me on my Hayato.
It's annoying enough when you encounter that room, and especially if it can eat the keys you paid for too.

If fighting in that room is a problem for you, just camp in the ceiling for 2 minutes. You don't actually have to kill the red guys to advance.

A red!Grosso Polpo dropped a Sweetwater Katara and Katana, together, in one of my Lith Harbour voyages today. Also got another Katara in a run earlier, also in Lith Harbour.

Just curious, do Lucky Item Scrolls adjust the base stats of Zero's weapon in any way aside from adding them to the respective set? Like, would the Sweetwater Lucky Item scroll grant the weapon the base +30% bossing and +10% Defense Ignore that all other Sweetwater weapons inherently have, or are the stats left untouched?

They don't change the stats of the weapons. The "missing" +30% Boss Damage and +10% Ignore DEF, compared to Fafnir or Sweetwater weapons, is already included on the final forms of Zero's weapons at 170.
