Is anyone else noticing it im on khani and dcing every 5 mins.
This hasnt happened before its so annoying.

I've seen less than five Dragon/Dark Knights soloing at Himes, Gobies, and Skeles since summer began.

...so recently I've started to wonder how many solo DKs there are.

As for me, I've partied only for PQs and leeching for people, but never for a boost in experience for myself.

Is there anybody like me, who rarely parties people out of their own free will, and chooses apples and baskets as opposed to leeching?

Let me first introuduce the position i am in so that who ever this might regard can comprehend the angle i am coming from.

I have a 94 crusader and want to restart another warrior. Probably roll it into a Dragon Knight. Decently well funded, stats for the new warrior is so far so good. It's at a current level of 21 and most likely going to go hardcore grinding.

I am very fimiliar how a dragon knight operates and etc but it always boils down to this questions to probably many other maplers such as myself making a dragon knight. Hybrid? or Pure Spear? Sorry Polearm doesn't quite cut it for me, no offense =P.

Hybrid probably the most favored and well known of them all. I understand why so many would choose this path. "Screw Final Attack! Who needs that when your a DK and it's completely useless for DKs" Assuming your high enough level and you have Dragon Fury and Crusher both maxed out. What is the difference of Fury and Crusher when it comes down to a pack of mob? I understand Crusher can only hit 3 but more well designed to hit single targets. While Fury can any number of mobs where as it only a fraction of Crusher's damage.

Here's a scenario for you all to see what im trying to get at.

Your a hybrid Dk and have both Fury and Crusher maxed out.
You just rallied a group of Himes and you have your spear out.
You really think like most of us are going try to swatch our spears for a Polearm and go through all that exit combat hassle? No right? Your just going to go "Screw it, ill just stick with my spear and crusher them"
And your entire day of training at Himes just progresses on like that.

So what was the purpose of having Fury and being Hybrid? And suffer through 2nd job and level without Final Attack when that chance of using a Polearm as DK doesnt come quite often?


Pure Spear, probably the easy way out for spearmans to Dk and suffer through 3rd job.
You get to level with Final Attack and still get your Dragon Crusher.
Sometimes, you see a huge mob and you kind of kick yourself and wish you were hybrid.
In addition, lacking variety of combat, such as just spamming Crusher can really kill your mood to train. Thus holding you back.

Yes! i know im somewhat contradicting myself on these two comparsions, but i want you to see where i am coming from and my thought behind this. Maybe you guys can help me choose based on my thoughts.

A member of my guild has recently run into a few problems with opening his Maple Story. When he loads up Maple and it gets through Gameguard then loads up to get to the Nexon logo then he gets this error -2005530516(Unknown Error 0x8876086C)

Any ideas? He has tried reinstalling it a few times and it did nothing. All he knows is that after he installed Diablo II on his computer again it started happening.

My friend really likes to make these, but I think... what is the point?

1) People who make MMVs rip off a song from somebody else, meaning the work is not really theirs... major plagiarism.
2) Big deal... you can type in the lyrics that you didn't write.
3) People who write their own songs copyright it and usually make their own 'real' music videos. What's the point in copying them?
4) There are way too many of the same MMVs to popular songs that it gets really redundant.
5) They're not difficult to make, so therefore are not major accomplishments for the maker. (Like for example, the recent movie, The Dark Knight isn't really original either, but it was a great movie. MMVs can never add such quality.)

The purpose of the 'arts' is entertainment.
Video's are made for the purpose of entertaining others. However, why bother trying to entertain others when you know that it's not going to? I'm not trying to troll, but seriously, if you're trying to do something, at least try doing a decent job instead of half assing it. D:
Most of the MMVs I see are the ones in which people merely type in the lyrics of the song... most of the scenes aren't even related to the song itself. Like, for example, some song would be singing about how cold something/someone is, and then you'd see the person typing that part of the lyrics in Ariant. -.-"
In art, a picture is supposed to appeal to the sight while music appeals to the mood. In a video, the picture and music should blend in order to give you an impression on what was happening during the time of the scene. For example, you wouldn't play happy music during a murder scene, because it wouldn't fit. Similarly, you wouldn't kill a video by making it bland and tasteless.
That's what I'm trying to point out.

So, having said that, what do you think? (No drama please.)

I hadn't had a chance to check out Elin Forest's Party Quest since it came out about a week ago until yesterday. Before the last KMS patch (1.2.60 was a bug fix) the Elin Forest PQ data in the Quest log indicated what we learned from KMST: That is, that the party quest was from 50-200. Additionally from what we know about it, it required one person from all 5 jobs (Pirate, Thief, Magician, Warrior, Archer.) to enter.

Now, however, the truth is revealed: They nerfed it down to 45-55. I can't possibly think of a worse range for this. It's overlapping FIVE different other PQs. As if that weren't frustrating enough, they changed it so that instead of needing all classes, you now can bring anyone of any class along. This is horrible news; instead of requiring everyone to work together and make use of all classes strengths, it's been reduced to every other party quest where we bring 5 assassins along. >_>

Thoughts? personally, this greatly angered me. Not only did they change what should have been a fun exploration for everyone of every level, but they also eliminated the need of every class, putting the same old people in the limelight and throwing the rest of us to the sidelines. They picked what was likely the worst possible level range to add it to as well, because with Monster Carnival, Ludi PQ, Ludi Maze PQ (Which admittedly is not available in KMS), Orbis PQ, and Pirate PQ, it's by far adequately covered. I'm thoroughly discouraged and disappointed, especially given the fact that at the moment, there are NO quests in Elin Forest at all. Yet another unique and innovative idea ruined at the hands of Nexon Korea... They've done very poorly this month.
