Off into the sunset. It was a good run. I haven't played SR since dynamic queue came out and stopped playing the game entirely after the MYMU made it to the PBE. Personally, that's a wrap for me, it's been a good 5.5 years but I'm moving on.

Though I feel the prices are a bit too high on a couple of things, insta-bought the Leona figure, because Leona. <3

I'll probably just get the champions I like the most (MF, Graves, Vi, Syndra), hopefully they'll be released at a moderate rate, so I can keep affording them. Guess the amount of RP I'll by purchasing will decrease, in order to save up for these collectibles.

Recently, I become Coach for a team under the Satori organization, Satori Blue.

At the moment, Blue is under reconstruction, Red just won a Riot LAN tournament and the organization just acquired a Psychologist. When that happened, I thought to myself, "This pomegranate is real". Decided to type up a diary of what's going on and what I've been doing:

Am excited about this project, especially since next year there'll be an official LAN LCS in Mexico (unsure if it'll be 6 - 8 teams), Satori Red is easily one of the top 4 teams in LAN at the moment, while Satori Blue has a good chance at also earning a spot if this current team sticks together.

Also, communicating with players from different countries (Mexico/US, Colombia, Venezuela) is holy pomegranate hard... we couldn't practice well today because our Support (Venezuela) had no electricity and our ADC's (Colombia) internet was suddenly unstable.

Alright I really need some help here.
Over the last week or so, I've been having some really weird connection issues with the game. Basically, at any random point in the game, I would have a ping spike (which is fairly normal with my internet) but then, lately, it would shoot up to lets say 433 or 500 and stay there and I would get the Attempting to Reconnect window and it stays there, d/ced, until I leave the game and reconnect. What makes it so confusing for me is that the rest of my internet doesn't go out, my browser still works fine, basically only my connection to the game gets shot and I can't figure out why. Something really important to note is that it doesn't seem to happen when I'm in a Skype call (though that was 3 days ago and I haven't tried playing while in a call yet) and it also doesn't happen when I'm listening to the Spotify web player, but it does happen if I listen to it through the desktop client. Though I do have ping spikes more often with the web player on, but I haven't gotten that full disconnect yet. I already submitted a ticket to Riot with all the information they said I should include, but they haven't replied yet so maybe one of you can help me. If I know you I could consider sending you the reports but idk Riot was like I shouldn't do that, but if you have any tips let me know I guess.

The 16 qualified teams were drawn into four groups (four teams per group). Two groups will play all their group stage games in Taiwan (18-21st Sept), and the other two groups will play their group stage games in Singapore (25-28th Sept). [COLOR="#cc8899"]For those of you venturing into Howling Abyss, please...please...stop buying Sanguine Blade and thinking you're getting a slightly worse Bloodthirster. It is not a Bloodthirster, nor is it a Bloodthirster replacement. it is an okay early buy but for slot efficiency it's about where Morellonomicon is. Let's compare:

Cost:
Sanguine Blade: 2275g
Essence Reaver: 3200g
BotRK: 3200g

AD:
Sanguine Blade: 45 + (6 per stack, max 5) (80 AD at full stacks)
Essence Reaver: 80
BotRK: 25

Lifesteal:
Sanguine Blade: 10% + (1 per stack, max 5) (15% at full stacks)
Essence Reaver: 10%
BotRK: 10%

"Other"
Essence Reaver: 10% CDR, Mana restoration passive
BotRK: Active slow+%maxHP nuke, Passive %currentHP shred

While Sanguine Blade is theoretically as good as either alternative in terms of damage and better in lifesteal, in the average case (3 stacks) it falls short by a significant degree. It does not build into anything and has nothing special to differentiate it. There are champions that can reliably keep the stacks up on sanguine, but that's assuming you don't have anyone like a Galio or Ziggs wiping out minions before they get near or that you have the range/mobility to consistently autoattack enemy champions without getting caught out of position. By the time you have 5 stacks, the critical stage of the fight is likely already over or you've already used your initial rotation of skills.

Perhaps the argument is less true at Plat or Diamond skill level, where I'm sure an experienced player can keep the stacks up a lot better, but...I just can't see any argument for buying it outside of gold efficiency, then selling it for a 6th 3rd tier item later.[/COLOR]

Is this game difficult to get into as a beginner?

I've been meaning to come back to this game after playing it a year ago... all I remember is learning to last-hit minions in laning phase, stay the hell away from towers, and stay the hell away from bushes. How does someone who knows very little about the game get into it without pissing off their entire team when they join a game?
