When you start, it takes a few months of play to reach the maximum level. In addition, it forces you to play several hours throughout the week. Many coaches are around level 30, although that's when things get tricky.

To put things in context, reaching level 30 costs 2 million experience. This is a figure that many coaches achieve quickly, although from then on things get complicated.

Reaching level 40 costs 20 million experience, an absurdly high figure that many still do not reach. The basis of this mobile game is to capture creatures, and we give you some interesting information.

Greetings all! I would describe this forum game as one part choose your own adventure and one part "Protect the Beginner" type of quest that used to happen in GMS a long time ago. The Beginner character will be controlled partly based on RNG and the parties job is to reach the Valley of heroes. If the Beginner dies, then the quest is failed. No matter what happens, if the Beginner survives then the quest is won! (and anyone that didn't make it gets brought back to life)

Here are the rules:
The party needs to pass through 5 dangerous areas to reach the end.
Upon entering a dangerous area, I will describe what is there and what action the Beginner will take. (partly based on RNG)
After this step, each player can choose an action among these 4 choices
1 Try to clear a path (attack the mobs)
2. Try a skill to distract the mobs
3. Use self as a decoy to try and lead mobs away
4. Just keep running

Depending on the character, there is a chance to survive any of the 4 actions.

After each area is described, party members have about 24 hours to pick an action. If a player doesn't choose before time runs out then the character will auto follow behind the Beginner for that area. (the result is slightly different then what would happen from choosing the 4th action)
Each party member only needs to pick one action per area.

Once the actions are chosen and enough time has passed, I will post what happens and if the party survives then the quest can continue to the next area.
The path is only based on the Phantom forest so the mobs do not always completely block the way forward.
There is some RNG involved.

How to join:
First choose a job and a good name.
There are 2 ways of how to roll for your character.
1) Using RNG (or dice) you can roll for your own stats as many times as you would like but the final score can never go above a 4.
2) You may elect to have me roll the character stats. This method can score as high as a 6 but as low as a 1. I would roll 3 times for the character and then take the best among them.

Dice results:
1 = level 40 character
2 = level 50
3 = level 60
4 = level 70
5 = level 80
6 = level 100

The quest takes place when 3rd job was at level 70.
While individual skills are not usable, character job, level and skills do factor into how the game proceeds and has a big impact on survivability.

Sign up form:
Character name:
Character level: (leave blank if you want me to roll for the character)
Job: (Warrior, Mage, Thief, Archer or Pirate)
You may pick a specific job once the game begins.

I think I covered everything, got questions? Ask away!

4. Mango
5. Melon
The rules are as follows:

1. I did not forget a fruit. There are only 13 fruits in your bowl.
2. Some are purposely vague (apple, grape, melon, etc). Choose your favourite (or least favourite) type. For example, Green Apple is valid.
3. You can't skip ranking one. You have to do all 13. Ties aren't allowed.
4. You can't combine the fruits. Ergo, you can't just make a fruit salad.
5. You can't add anything to the fruits. They just have to be eaten alone.
6. You can't make them into smoothies either. Or juice.
I'm only going to need 12 more Twitch followers to do a special Live Stream on TwitchTV. I will be doing a livestream on a certain weekend once I get 100 followers which it might be awhile.

The Unofficial Southperry Super Smash Brothers for 3DS Tournament

Phew. A rather long title. The time has come for all of us who are planning on getting the game to rejoice and play the game by showcasing our skills. Surely an exciting time to be alive. For the unaware, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is releasing in North America and Europe on October 3rd. For Australian people,
the game is coming out on October 4th. Japanese people have already received their copy. So this is a tournament for that game, ya know.

When is the date?

That's actually up to you! Currently I've decided on four dates, all of which you can vote for until sign ups are over. The one with the most votes ends up being the starting date (i.e. plurality, not majority).

But these dates are too close to release!

The good thing about that is that there's currently a demo out for NA/EU/AU that would give you some well deserved practice with the game's controls. If you feel like you need more practice or you need to unlock more characters then don't fret! This tournament is just for fun.

Are there prizes?

The idea is that top 3 will receive a prize. The prize could be monetary, SP Karma, or something else entirely. I haven't exactly decided on the prizes yet since I might need to ask permission to distribute it.

At the moment, the current prizes in my mind are:

1st Place: 20 USD item of your choice. Caveat is that they have to take my dirty money. It can be multiple items totalling to $20 too.
2nd Place: 10 USD item of your choice. Same rules as 1st place prize.
3rd Place: 5 USD item of your choice. Same rules as 1st place prize.

What's the tournament structure

That depends on how many people register. This is, of course, also open to discussion. The current plan is to have a double elimination bracket. The first round will be a 'qualifying' round to get rid of possibly byes. If the number is too messed up for double elimination then we'll switch to either single elimination, swiss-style, or roundrobin.

The brackets will be posted on challonge and I will notify participants when their round is ready.

What are the rules?

Warning: This part is rather lengthy.

The rules are still under construction, but they're open to discussion.

Basic Rules

In the following, a round is one game and a match is the grouping of them, i.e. the best of 3 match-up.

1 vs. 1

3 stocks per round

Custom moves are allowed. Miis and Palutena allowed too.

No items

No custom equips.

Played online. Local play could also be possible.

If the match is very laggy, an extra match could be allotted through mutual consensus. The laggy match would not count towards the score.

Both players are to report their results to this thread or via private message. They must be identical.

You can pick any character you want. You don't have to stick to a single character the entire time.

If an opponent is inactive for a match for more than 24 hours since the match started, then the active player receives the win for the entire match. Be sure to contact me first though. This is one of those things I'll be extremely lenient about.

Stage Picking

The first round's stage is picked randomly. The subsequent stages are picked by the round's loser. In both cases, the stage should be a legal stage as defined below.

Gentleman's Rule is applied. In other words, if both players agree to playing a banned stage, then they can play it.

Legal Stages (NOT FINAL)

Hopefully based on NA names. A question mark means that the stage is one that I'm not too keen on its legality. Granted, this currently applies to everything.
These rules are 100% mine and you will be ended if you steal them.

1- All players have a role in the game and it is forbidden to reveal the content of your Role PM ipsis litteris in the game’s topic. Paraphrasing is fine, there’s no guarantee anyone will believe you though.
3- The game will cycle between Day and Night until a faction wins the game. Days will last 48ish, nights 24ish.

4- The game will begin on Day 1, there will already be voting on that day.

5- All votes must be bolded. If you wish to remove your vote, remove the boldface from your previous vote and only then make a new one. Your target will be so preoccupied with eating your delicious stew that they won’t do anything else for the rest of the night. If by some means you acquire an onion, you can make even more stew and give out stew every night. You win when all threats to the realm are eliminated.

Kyrastri Wrote:You are King Stannis “The Mannis” Baratheon, one of several kings fighting for the Iron Throne. You and your trusted Hand Ser Davos have just arrived from Eastwatch-by-the-Sea to save the Wall from the wildlings. If your Hand dies you will commit suicide out of grief but you can kill a person of your choosing upon your death. You may choose your target by sending me a PM containing [Revenge Kill] Target. This kill will happen next morning but will count as part of the previous day phase. You may NOT communicate with your Hand outside of the game thread. You win when all threats to the realm are eliminated.

Hypermug Wrote:You are Lord Davos Seaworth, the Onion Knight, Lord of the Rainwood, and Hand to King Stannis. You have just arrived with your king from Eastwatch-by-the-Sea to save the Wall from the wildlings. If your king dies then you will commit suicide out of grief for the king to whom you have dedicated your life. You can also use your experience as a smuggler to give one player an onion each night by sending me a PM containing [Give Onion to] Target. This action cannot be stopped. You may NOT communicate with your King outside of the game thread. You win when all threats to the realm are eliminated.

LuvDWayULie Wrote:You are Varamyr Sixskins, a powerful warg and a leader of the free folk. You ride into battle on the back of a snow bear, while also controlling three wolves and a shadowcat. You have recently acquired an eagle which you can use for scouting, and each night you may send me a PM containing [Scout] Target to determine if they performed any night actions. You win when all of the “kneelers” are dead and you can pass safely beyond the Wall.
You may safeclaim as Pyp.

Niernen Wrote:You are Mance Rayder, the King-Beyond-the-Wall. You are leading the free folk on an attack on the Wall because you know it’s their only hope of surviving through the winter before the Others arrive. You have great knowledge of the Night’s Watch having been a member before, and you will appear as a brother of the Night’s Watch when investigated. Additionally, you may assassinate one person each night by sending me a PM containing [Kill] Target. Should you die, one of your lieutenants will be able to perform the kill. You win when all of the “kneelers” are dead and you can pass safely beyond the Wall.
You may safeclaim as Othell Yarwyck.

VerrKol Wrote:You are Donal Noye, the one-armed blacksmith of Castle Black. To give the suit of armour send me a PM at night containing [Armour] Target. You win when all threats to the realm are eliminated.

MasPan Wrote:You are a White Walker, sometimes called an Other. After 8000 years you are finally taking back the land that was yours before the First Men and the Children of the Forest fought you off and put up that pesky Wall. Your speed and ice sword give you an incredible advantage in battle, and you cannot be killed by normal means. You can survive one attempt on your life each phase before the humans learn of your weaknesses and begin using dragonglass weapons. If you are discovered by the servants of the Red God they will expose your weakness immediately and your protection will be lost. You can fight back though, and once a night you may send me a PM containing [Resurrect] Target to bring a dead player back to life as a wight. You may only resurrect the same person once. Every three wights you raise increases the weight of your vote by one and you start the game with two wights under your control. If your vote counts for more than half of the votes on the day’s lynch, that lynch victim is immediately brought back as a wight. Your vote cannot count for more than three, and you cannot have the majority vote by yourself. You win if you are alive when the number of wights is greater than the number of living humans left in the game.

Salguod Wrote:You are Tormund Giantsbane, a chief of the free folk. You are loud and boisterous, but a fearsome fighter. You have many titles and stories to go with them, including Tall-talker, Horn-blower and Breaker of Ice, Husband to Bears, the Mead-king of Ruddy Hall, Speaker to Gods and Father of Hosts. Once in the game you may PM me with [Strong Kill] Target to kill someone regardless of any protection. This can be done in addition to the free folk’s normal kill. You win when all of the “kneelers” are dead and you can pass safely beyond the Wall.
You may safeclaim as Bowen Marsh.

ChaoticCJ Wrote:You are Eddison “Dolorous Edd” Tollett, a brother of the Night’s Watch. You win when all threats to the realm are eliminated.

y0y0y0y0shi0 Wrote:You are Styr, the Magnar of Thenn. Your people consider you more of a god than a man, and you command absolute loyalty from them. Your technology and civilization is more advanced than the rest of the free folk, producing bronze weapons and armour rather than raiding for equipment, but there have been some strange rumours about the Thenns being cannibals? You have no idea where that started, because the only cannibals amongst the free folk are the Ice-River clans. You win when all of the “kneelers” are dead and you can pass safely beyond the Wall.
You may safeclaim as Satin.

You forged a new suit of armour and you can give it to another player. The armour prevents them from being killed once. You only have one suit of armour, and you cannot give it to yourself.

You have no special abilities (other than being the snarkiest person this side of Moat Cailin) but you can still defend the Wall with your voice and your vote.

[It's a normal day in the world of Pokemon. Pokemon are going about their usual business, when suddenly, the air starts shaking. Everyone sense's a powerful presence approaching. There is a bright flash of light and you feel like you are being tossed through the air. When you open your eyes, you look around you, dazed and confused to where you are. Welcome, a booming voice sounds in your head. You are in my abode now. Your gaze focuses ahead, and you are startled to see Arceus, the Creator, speaking to you. I'm sure you all are wondering why you are here. Fret not, as all shall be explained. As you know, adventurers will be returning to Hoenn soon. It is up to all of you to decide which of you from the first generation shall make the passage safely. Once per day, you may bring one of your group forward, and they shall receive my Judgment and be sent back. You quickly look around to try and find others, but a mysterious light seems to be shrouding them. Shall you work together to make it through, or let yourselves be destroyed from within?

It was just another normal day in your mostly happy town, or so you all thought as you went about your lives. One by one, a cheerful looking man you'd never met before approached you and asked if you'd like to play a game with him. As your town is a fairly boring but friendly one, you all accepted his offer, only for things to suddenly go dark.

But that will soon change, and the game you've entered will be made clear. Upon receiving your role PM, please post in this thread to confirm your presence. Day 1 will start at noon PST on the 9th (in order to give people time to confirm while still ensuring Day 1 has a normal 48 hour length; this could change if people are ok with it being shorter/longer than a normal day in order to start it sooner if we get all confirmations in by tomorrow).

Using your powers of mental suggestion, each odd-numbered night (starting with Night 1) you're able to switch the intentions of everyone towards two different players by sending in a PM with [Switch] PLAYER1 - PLAYER2. This will effectively swap all night actions targeting PLAYER1 to target PLAYER2, and anything targeting PLAYER2 to target PLAYER1. It should be noted that this manipulation also applies to the thoughts of Mafia members. Just be careful
where you aim; you never know what you might bring about.

You are sided with the Mafia, so you win once all of the Town has been contained or nothing can prevent that from happening. Your teammates are ERROR ACCESS NOT VALID. You may communicate with them freely throughout the game.
You are sided with the Town, so you win once all those threatening your return to reality have been contained.
In the real world you always were known for taking risks, but your strong morals have led you to bet on the side of the town. Your documentation is as follows:

gambler.role Wrote:How's this for a risk: once per day you can [Roll Dice Towards] PLAYER in a post of yours. NEW_DATA is what you want to change that item to. Changing an item to what it is currently is a viable move and will still display as an edit. As a warning- some of the documentation is auto-generated based on these items in ways you might not expect. If it were up to me, I'd erase you from the game, but that'd take too much time and effort, and Vlad thinks you might be interesting to keep around. I just hope you can get your people out of here before they find out about any of that, but given your great reputation, you'll show up as one of the Town if anyone tries to look into it. Each night, you can send in a PM to do the same kind of thing you used to do for Vlad, in a way: use [Contain] PLAYER to shoot a player with your Containment Rifle, sending them right to the Soul Container. If you get contained yourself, one of the others will inherit your rifle and can perform that action in addition to theirs at night.
copycat.role Wrote:Oooh, aren't you an interesting one. Your desire to do well is commendable, but it's really wasted on someone who can't bother to actually understand what they're learning. In any case, each night you may send a PM in each night with the action [Copy] PLAYER; you will enter a trance-like state and attempt to learn how to perform what that player does that night. If you succeed in copying their night action, instead of copying a new power the next night you may use it on another player by sending in a PM with [Target] PLAYER. As your abilities are limited, a copied action is lost at the end of the night after it is copied. That is, for example, if you copy something on Night 1 it is lost at the end of Night 2 whether your Night 2 action is using it or copying another power instead. If the action you are using requires any information besides just a target, you will use the same information that was used by the player you copied on the night that you copied them. You may target yourself, though this could of course result in the action failing to work. I hope you know what you're doing.

Trapped in a virtual recreation of your beloved town, a bizarre host has forced you into a game with deadly consequences. Will those who believe in the spirit of community prevail? Or will those who've given up that hope manage to slaughter their way to victory and the return to reality that comes with it?

Signups will last a week (till July 5th) and the game will start immediately afterwards, with a Day 0 existing for the purpose of all players confirming receiving their role PMs. If you are going to be inactive for a significant amount of time or are otherwise unable to participate for some reason, please tell me so a substitute can be brought in. I want to be somewhat hands off in terms of enforcing activity (especially as I know I personally have become busy during both of the previous two games despite still trying to be involved), but it should be known that by playing you've become responsible for helping your team, and you have an obligation to them. Furthermore, in light of last game's events, if you find yourself wanting to act out against your team: tell me so you can be subbed out. Sabotaging the game helps no one, and I'd rather sub you out then be forced to godkill you (since that's its own form of sabotage). I also want to remind you of the following: you are playing a game. A game that involves trickery and manipulation, but still a game. If you cannot separate the actions of a character someone is playing from the player, and if you cannot treat other players with respect or cannot express disagreement without getting into personal attacks, please don't play.

Finally, a very important warning: this game will be weird. It will ideally be very interesting and entertaining to everyone involved. It will also ideally be balanced, and that's definitely what I'm aiming for, but please be aware going in that things will probably be much more chaotic than most games and so I cannot promise that things won't blow up in my face.
1- All players have a role in the game and it is forbidden to reveal the content of your Role PM ipsis litteris in the game’s topic. Paraphrasing is fine, there’s no guarantee anyone will believe you though.

2- Do not reveal information of the game to people not participating on it, it may create problems if they come in and substitute another player mid-game.

3- The game will cycle between Day and Night until a faction wins the game. Days will last 48h, nights 24h.

4- The game will begin on Day 1, there will already be voting on that day.

5- All votes must be bolded. If you wish to remove your vote, remove the boldface from your previous vote and only then make a new one. Ex. [Vote] Masdoshi

6- Voting for No Lynch is an acceptable vote option during the Day and it will result in no player been lynched that Day. If it is wise or interesting to do so is up to the players.
Ex. [Vote] No Lynch
7- Be mindful when editing posts. Unless it's a really minor thing like spelling mistakes, always favor making a new post instead. DO NOT edit posts after the end of the Day.

8- Players are strictly forbidden to talk in private, unless their Role PM explicitly tells them they can.

9- If you are dead or not playing you can’t post on the game’s topic. Another topic will be made for discussion.

10- The players’ Role PM will be revealed by me when they die.

11- If you have any questions about your Role PM, the game, or any other commentary or concern, send me a PM. Avoid talking on the game or discussion topics so as to avoid revealing sensitive information.

12- Do not impersonate other players or me, do not produce fake logs, do not take screenshots of the game, do not discuss in private with other players unless your role PM explicitly allows it.

13- If any players breaks any of these rules, he will receive punishment accordingly. In the worst case, he’ll be removed from the game and, possibly, future games by me.
