Ride or Die

Quick Overview

• Take on up to 5 bosses each week by choosing your difficulty level and setting challenges.
  
• Requirement: Lv. 200 and above (Zero characters that completed Story Quest Act 2).
  
• The higher the difficulty and number of challenges, the greater the rewards will be and a higher final score you'll receive!
  
• Earn rewards like Inspector Coins, Kazax’s Energy Fragments, and weekly Inspector Supply Boxes based on your final score.
  

How to Participate

• Select ‘Ride or Die’ from the Event List and click ‘Participate’ to start the Ride or Die event.
  
• Upon accepting the quest, you’ll be teleported to the event map, where you’ll meet Libae, a new inspector who urgently needs your help to save Maple World!
  

Setting Boss Difficulty and Challenges

• Face off against up to 5 bosses per week by choosing your difficulty and how many challenges you want to take on. The 5 bosses you can challenge are:
  • Papulatus
    
  • Vellum
    
  • Horntail
    
  • Darknell
    
  • Magnus
    
• There are four difficulties to choose from:
  • Code B: Easy
    
  • Code A: Normal
    
  • Code S: Hard
    
  • Code X: Extreme
    • Code X Requirements: Only your weapon, secondary weapon, and emblem can be equipped for this challenge. Swapping equipment will be disabled during battle.
      
    • Test your strength and limits in Code X to earn the highest reward box and a large number of Kazax fragments! With different bosses and fewer challenges this time, Code X is the perfect chance to push for a high score.
      

• Ready for a challenge? You can set up to 15 challenges and one will be randomly assigned to you during each run. The following challenges are available:
  

• The score multiplier for challenges have been increased, so the more challenges you take on, the higher your weekly score will be!
  
• You have a total of 20 lives shared across all 5 bosses per week. If you lose them all, you’re done for the week!
  • Use Practice Mode to familiarize yourself with the bosses! Speak with Libae to adjust the difficulty level and challenges as needed.
    • Practice Mode is unavailable for Code X difficulty.
      
• An Investigation Result summary will appear when you successfully defeat a boss, showing your current Investigation Score and Weekly Score. Scores are calculated based on:
  • Chosen difficulty
    
  • Number of challenges set
    
  • Death count
    

Althea's Support

• Althea is here to support you during fights! Once inside the boss map, you’ll receive Althea’s Support, a special skill that charges support up to Lv. 3 as you fight.
  • Charge the skill by collecting support! The more support you receive, the more powerful Althea’s Support skill effect will be!
    

• The amount of support required to charge each level is 150.
  • For every 15 support gained, one skill gauge slot fills.
    
  • Receive a small amount of support at regular intervals.
    
  • Receive a great amount of support when your character touches a summoned object.
    • The object spawns at a random location every 30 seconds and disappears after a certain amount of time.
      

• Once the gauge is full, press the Interact key to activate one of Althea’s support skills at random. These help clear summoned enemies and disrupt Kazax’s interference.
  
• Right-click the skill icon to toggle between automatic or manual activation.
  

Kazax's Interference

• Kaxaz isn’t going to fight fair, so stay sharp! He’ll appear alongside bosses and randomly uses skills that interfere with your fight.
  

Weekly Total Score Rewards

• Defeat bosses to also earn usable items and Silver, Bronze, or Gold Inspector Coins which can be spent at the Coin Shop for exclusive rewards!
  
• Each week after the event reset, you'll receive a Weekly Total Score which will determine:
  • Which Inspector's Supply Box you receive
    
  • How many Kazax's Energy Fragments you earn
    

• There are six levels of Inspector’s Supply Boxes that can be obtained. Score higher to receive higher-level boxes.
  • You can only claim 1 box a week per account. Rewards can only be claimed after the event weekly reset.
    • Rewards for Week 6 can be claimed immediately after completing that week's challenge.
      
  • Note: The final score and participation count for Week 1 will be calculated from July 16 (after maintenance) - July 23 at 11:59 PM UTC.
