I'm a bit confused here, a guy approached me while I was working, and I can't tell exactly if it's one of those companies where all you do is go around and SELL products, or what. Because when this fellow approached me, I wanted a job where I would be fixing computer servers, etc. Instead, from what I've read here, IF I'm getting this right, it's a Marketing company? ACN seems very confusing to me, since I don't know much about the Marketing industry. Could somebody with knowledge about this sort of ordeal explain to me a bit about how this all works?

The fellow said that I move up the ranks and get residual income monthly, etc. I don't understand if I'm supposed to be selling VoIP phones, or what...

Looks like a VOiP service...as well as satellite TV and other options.

Yeah that's pretty much it. The thing is which department of the company would you be working for.. o_O

Seems to me like you'd be selling their products. So I would say residual income in this situation would be like commission, & your income would be BASED on how much clients you get & products you sell etc....

Edit: Have you e-mailed the representative about exactly what you would be doing? From what I got from the site, you would be promoting their products (satellite tv, home security etc.) I doubt that's what you were looking for on doing as alternative to your current job & relating to your major.
