Are the Defence/Accuracy benefits from a Zakum Helmet worth using up AP for?

I'm aiming for a Zakum Helmet on my level 52 Beginner, who currently has 35 AP saved up which I was planning on eventually adding to HP.
However I thought I'd come here to ask is it worth spending around 10 levels of HP just to get a Zakum Helmet?

I'm a DEF Beginner, so the extra DEF would be nice, I also have low DEX (thus low Accuracy).

Would I be better waiting until I have enough default HP before I get a Zakum Helmet or would I be of more benefit to add to HP instead?

you could try getting the needed HP using HP equips. If you are buying from a guild, there are some guilds that lent you HP equips so any character at level 50 can get a helm.

The only guild that does Zakum runs on EMS has +390 HP equips. I currently have 751 (or so) HP at level 52, but as far as I'm aware Beginners get ~10 HP per AP spent, meaining I probably wouldn't get it until level 60 (which would be 75 AP).

Wait it out. You obviously are able to train decently still, so no need to spring for the helm now.

No, 2 reasons, 1) Admins won't change your forum name unless you donate, and 2) I had a warning saying "This person hacks!" which apparently means I called someone a hacker, but I didn't like having that on my warnings log.
