Maplestory and Windows 10 TP
#1
Anyone having trouble with this? I seem to be running it just fine on Windows 10. I haven't had any major hiccups. Just curious if anyone else is playing on it successfully.

Well, TIL Windows 10 TP is available.

I dunno personally Thorr;, I'll give it a shot when I get my VM up.

You can download and install the technical preview.

Keep in mind that various programs will not work immediately with this. As Thorr is experiencing, MS wasn't built with Windows 10 in mind so it isn't running correctly for him.

I think I'll pass. What's exactly the ETA of this upgrade if any?

IIRC, Windows 10 will be released near the end of 2015. RC should probably start around spring 2015.

No, you misread me. I am playing MS on Windows 10 as we speak with no problems whatsoever. I started the thread hoping others may report common problems so I know what i might expect as I install it to other PC configurations.

I ran into an issue while downloading the installation files, but it was the direct download so it's not an issue with Nexon's installer. So far, Maple is the only thing I have had work without flaw. (I do like Win 10, though.)

There is no Windows 9. Here is why:

Here is a link showing that type of code in several programs -

That's not why. There is no official reason 'why'. This is just a guess.

The real reason is because 7-8 (ate)-9.

SEVEN EIGHT NINE GUYS.

Sorry. Also I think I stole this joke from Karen's tumblr ;-;

On top of the code issue, I think they want to get away for the old 'Win 9x' reference. The second you see Windows 9, the average user will be reminded of 95 or 98. I think it's good to skip that kind of brand confusion.
