Latency Issues

We would like to apologize for any latency issues you may have experienced today. We are aware of the problem, and are working with our network teams to rectify it. A few channels have been shut down temporarily to to optimize server performance. Updates will be posted as they become available, so please continue to check the MapleStory website for more information.

Now they are shutting down more channels. on all worlds.

All we'll have left are:
1, 2, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18

Nexon isnt gaining no money from keeping the severs up in a cripple state. If someone wants to spend nx they will spend it

That many channels down means at least 10 channels down per world... there's no way they'll leave it like that for long (I hope).

Pftt maplestory could permanently have 10 channels and still look under populated

Seriously though, they are probably just avoiding it because they feel like it's an easy fix (from what I gather they are just troubleshooting). No signs of a DDOS from what I can see

I think they do not actually know what the problem is or are working on it. Instead of dealing with the compensation that people will expect for an "indefinite" or prolonged shutdown, they are just keeping the game up.
